Fender Rumble Club

Love that bass colour.. such a great blue!

Thank you, I love the color also! The color and the matching headstock intrigued me into buying this bass. Himalayan Blue Frost, it's a matte finish rather than gloss. Plus it has a Paulonia wood body and weighs 7.2lbs (3.3kg) easy on my old back when standing to play for longer periods.
Sounds fantastic through the Rumble amp also!

Plugged in to my Rumble 200 I bought used in 2020 (it's a 2018) and it sounded like a blown speaker. Kind of panicked because I have no funds now for a new amp, but I settled down and remembered this had happened before. Last time it was when I had my 115 ext cab hooked up also and it wound up being the window rattling not the amp.
I had cleaned the small room I now practice in and moved some things, so I went around and moved things again and the sound is gone it was something vibrating! Thank god, tragedy averted. They are called Rumbles after all.
A question, if the speaker had blown, could I have unplugged it internally and ran my 115 ext cab without the internal speaker hooked up, that is through the ext. speaker output, with the internal speaker disconnected?

I'm happy that you figured out the Rumble's rumble problem, but I still recommend some kind of acoustic isolation between the amp and the floor. I bought an Auralex Acoustics GRAMMA v2 pad for my Rumble 200. The 200 is gone (not dual power), but I still have the GRAMMA v2 under my new GR Bass ATC 500. They're a bit expensive, but are really good isolators.

Most of my floors are carpeted so no problem with rattles(unless I 'crank' the Ka$ino). On gigs I use any one of 3 or 4 amp stands I have, but that's mainly to angle the amp up toward my ears. Just for S&G, I put one of my Rumbles on a Snap-OnTM mechanic's knee pad(much cheaper)on the tiled kitchen floor. Definitely isolated the amp.

Mostly yes, this site and youtube. I feel like every google search kept bringing me back to this page, so clearly y'all have some well regarded information here.

Years ago I was gifted an Aspen version of a P bass. I've farted around with my buddys bass when we were in a rock band together a lifetime ago. I've never played it out or even with another musician due to never having an amp! I still have my Epiphone LP that was my main piece and a cheap-o knockoff strat (which suprisingly sounds decent) after selling my squire tele years ago.

My skills have fallen off as I basically gave it all up (but couldn't quite bring myself to sell all my gear) but I'm trying to dive back in and am hoping bass/guitar playing, uke and cajon get me writing and creating again. My Rumble seems like a great way to simplify my setup so I'm not feeling overwhelmed by my gear.

I've got some time on my hands now and well, you know what they say about idle hands...
Nothing like the great Rumble tone to inspire creativity and desire to grow. Welcome back to music and Talkbass!

Do you know about how long a cable I need? Im looking at custom ordering a 1/4 90° to speakon cable. I have a used 210 cab on order.

They seem to be available from Ama…
This one is 50cm or 1.5 ft
(Main image has correct length of 1.5’)

Hmmm... That may be too short. Let me go take a look...

(Jeopardy music playing in background...)

Straight line distance appears to be about 2' (+/-). 3' would be comfortable.

Hello everyone.

I'm new to Talk Bass and the Rumble page but glad to be here!

I dont know if its a mid-life crisis or just having more time on my hands now that made me want to dive back into music? Perhaps i just got tired of schlepping all my gear around without ever using it.

I acquired a bass from a friend but had no amp to play it through. So i went on a search for one single amp to play my new bass and also my old guitars through. I kept reading reviews of these Rumbles and after watching many videos of both bass and guitars being played on them (after selling my Marshall Valvestate half stack) i just picked up a shiny new Rumble 100. So far, I'm in love with it! So I've been lurking on here reading all the great info you have mined on these amps. Suffice it to say, I'm hooked.

Hoping to chat with you all and learn what you have come to love/not love about your gear.

Cheers!
Hey welcome to TB! The Rumble 100 is a really nice little amp. I've been playing in bands for some 40+ years now and played through a lot of amps. Got a Rumble 100 in Nov. 2022 on a Black Friday sale and have been using it quite a lot since, both for rehearsals and small venue gigs. You should get a lot of use out of it.

I love how much volume it gives for such little weight. I love the feature set. I love being able to chain two together.
I wish they had tilt-back legs. I wish they had a speaker output. I wish they came with footswitches. I wish they came with longer, lighter, more supple power cords.
The latter are all niggles that didn’t keep me from buying a second one!

Absolutely. I could use my R100 for all but one of the rooms I play in. Eventually I'll get a second, but for now I have my R200c for bigger rooms(and I could chain it and the R100).
The lack of speaker output is what made me go with the R200 to begin with. I didn't learn about the chaining trick until I'd bought the 200. Otherwise, I'd've bought 2xR100s.
I bought a footswitch-but I rarely hook it up[to the MUTE function]. I just push the button at the start of the gig and again at the end.
I bought a couple of these adapters. They're a 3 prong connector on one end(plug into any 3 conductor extension cord), and a standard amp connector(IEC)on the other end. Best I could do pix wise.
IMG_0296.jpg IMG_0298.jpg I don't remember the brand*, but they came in those red 'blister packs' of accessories at GC.
Handy little mofos.:smug:
EDIT*: HOSA PWA-421 IEC C13 to NEMA 5-15P Adapter - Sweetwater

The other end is an "IEC: connection (International Electrotechnical Commision I think).
