I posted a week or so back about adding a 2x10 to my Rumble 800c. I’d pretty much decided not to until I googled the cab and saw that there were VERY few available. In fact, I believe I may have picked up the last one from a UK retailer, with further stock unavailable for MONTHS. So, I grabbed it whilst I had chance.
Only had a very brief moment to plug it in before the wife got home, so the true test will be tomorrow. Then rehearsals Thurs and Fri, so I’ll update as I can.
But, first impressions: beautifully finished. The handles are great, and although it’s a few KG heavier than the cab, it’s easy to shift because of them.
Sound wise, I’m keen to try them stacked and next to each other, but having the combo on top made the sound clear and articulate and I think having that alone elevated will make it more audible on stage.
I’ll update after a good blast tomorrow. But the sound is definitely “more”, it’s thicker and fuller and just carried better, by an initial 10 minute test. Didn’t seem massively louder, but there was just MORE sound. Maybe it was louder, but it just seemed bigger with more authority. Can’t wait to try it properly!
Truth. The times I played through 2xR100s convinced me I need another. One o' these days...(sigh)Mo speakers is mo betters.
I definitely hear the difference when I run two R100s vs 1.

WOO HOO! THANK YOU, campy!!!
Like you, the few times I tried the RS40 Left (Mono) FX Send into my R500c FX Return, and once with the RS40 Right FX Send into my BM500 FX Return also, I got sound out at a reasonable practice level (like the RS40 Master was set) so I was satisfied it worked like with the regular Rumbles. I didn't take the time to play around with it, since I've not had a gig need, yet.
But, having just got in from a great afternoon jam tonight, I was shocked, shocked! I tell you, to read that "it doesn't work", "it's useless", etc.! So, I felt compelled to check it out.
Huh! The RS40's FX Send level is, apparently, fixed without regard to the Master Volume. Well, whaddaya know? Who knew? vanny, you said this was known?
So, I take the alternate route, as advised by Fender, and run the RS40 Left (Mono) FX Send into my R500c Input! Then I set the R500c EQ to flat, and dial the Drive & Level both to zero so I can use the Overdrive button as a mute switch. And, behold!, now I can set whatever volume level I want out of the R500c!! Just like when I used to chain my two Bassman combos together! Gee, I've been missing that feature. As I've previously posted, I used to put my smaller, slaved BM combo on the other side of the stage from me and gave our keyboardist permission to set the volume on it they wanted there.
So, I don't really mind that the RS40 FX Send doesn't work the way the other Rumbles' does. Using the slaved Rumble's Input instead of the FX Return gives more flexibility and options. And it doesn't endanger anything as per this Rumble Talk.
Hope this helps.

I will be at an open Band Jam Thursday night. They have a Rumble 800C as the house bass amp (not bad!), but I really like the tonal options I use with my Studio and Stage amps. Since this will also be an audition of sorts for the club owner for possible bookings of our band, I'd like to have my usual tones/amp models available. I assume this same configuration will work with my Studio and the Rumble 800c. Does anyone know for sure?
Thanks in advance.

I'm sure beyond a doubt that running your Rumble Studio 40's Left (Mono) FX Send to the Rumble 800 combo's Input will work just fine, RL. It works for me with my R500c. And I don't see any difference the reinforcement combo makes. But, I don't have any hands-on experience with an R800c to "know for sure."
But, just to be as safe as possible, why not take your Rumble Stage 800, instead of the Studio? You can still connect them, as you would the Studio, but not be so reliant on the R800c, if you even use it at all. You can still do whatever you want with your R210 cab, either way, plug it into your Stage or the R800c, if you even use it at all.
At first I wondered, since the R800c's Master control is downstream of the FX Return, if you could run the Stage or Studio there and get good reinforcement? But, I think the Master is a "cut only" control, so it couldn't increase the signal any more than the R500c with the Master upstream of the FX Loop. [sigh] Oh, well ...
Does anyone have a R800c and a Studio or Stage to know for sure?
.
Thanks for the response G-Dog. While I was trying to avoid bringing my Stage, since there is plenty of power in the 800C, I may end up doing that. I'll need to move it from our rehearsal space anyway, since we have an A/V recording session at a large venue Monday evening. I'll need my 210 Cab for that too. Something for me to think about, although I see no reason to take my 210 cab on Thursday. The venue isn't large enough.

I understand wanting to use the ultralight Studio, for sure. But how sure are you that the house's R800c works, or will work, well?At least taking the Stage, even if you end up not having to use it, is good insurance. (The Stage should fit on top of the R800c just like on the R210, if needed.) But neither the Stage nor the Studio will control the R800c's volume.
The 64,000 schmackeroon question is: will you get any chance to try the Studio thru the R800c before the jam/audition?
.
I've used the 800 before, so I know it works. But I won't have much time to try out running the S40 through it before we play, so I will be taking my S800.
How are the 100 and 200 together? Not as good?Truth. The times I played through 2xR100s convinced me I need another. One o' these days...(sigh)
I got my 2 x 10 extension cab today (Wooot!) and when I pulled it out of the box, I realized it must have been thrown out the truck (awwwwww….)
I popped the grill off the speaker because I heard something rattling around inside of it. I reached in the port and pulled out the magnet from the tweeter! The wires must be yanked free inside someplace.
The rest of the horn is still in the cab. The plastic just shattered.
The cab is definitely crunched on the corner. And now that I look at the box the cardboard is crushed too. Im so bummed! I wanted to rattle the windows tonight.
It was pretty similar to when I had the R112 cab hooked up to the 200c. The main thing for me is liking the tone of 2 12s. And the fullness of 2xR100sHow are the 100 and 200 together? Not as good?
