Ok a quick bit about me, I’m based in England, been playing almost 30 years now. Studied music at college, gigged a lot in my late teens / early 20s but ultimately decided not to make a career out of music (I’m not sure I had it in me).

Now I’m a middle aged father of two with far too many basses than necessary. User experience design is my day job now.

Occasionally play with mates in various bands (covers and originals). I’m still loving playing more than ever and always improving, learning Jazz and sight reading at the moment. Thanks for the warm welcome. 🙏

If I ever get back to gigging regularly I’ll be seriously looking at the Rumble 800.

I have a Rumble 500 that I've been trying a couple of cabs with as I'm still learning about amps and cabs. I have a Markbass 1x15 300 watts and a Hartke 210xl 200 watts and the extension out on the rumble says 250 watts I'm alright with the 1x15 but I'm over on the 2x10 but I never crank it past half so would that work with the 2x10? and I had a bad static or vibration coming out of the Rumble turned out to be the grill or front cover I don't know what I'm going to do about that

So long as you never crank the Rumble up, the 200W cab will be fine.
I am assuming you made sure the grill is on tightly. Is the frame broken? You can always try adding more hook and loop fastener.
If the Rumble is under warranty, you can ask Fender.

From the note on the extension out it appears you have the Rumble 500 combo, so the 300w MB cab should be fine since 250w is the most it could see.

The Hartke cab at 200w, however, could be tricky, though. It's possible that even just half up on the Master could send it up to 85%, or even more, of the 250w possible and overpower it!! Be very, very careful with that one!!!

And make sure each cab is at least 8 ohms! Less can be hazardous to your Rumble's health.

So, taking off the front cover grill stopped the static vibration? Can you reproduce it by shaking the grill frame by hand, maybe finding a specific squeaky point?

Try some tape on the inside edge of the grill to deaden it, covering both the fabric and the wood between velcro patches. If thin tape doesn't do it, then maybe some thin adhesive weatherstripping is worth a try. 🤗

The positions of the Gain and Master control has no definite relation to the amount of power being output.

Not sure about the Rumbles, but many amps put out more of their power in the first 50% of the knob position.

Then there is the level hitting the input of the combo - how hot the pickups &/or onboard preamp are.

If you don't measure, you don't know - even then there can be accidents onstage, if you have your strings set low and you have exposed pole pickups and your strings make contact with one of the pickup poles - wham-bam, no thank you Mame (I blew out a HF driver myself one time doing that, I since learned not to push down so hard on the strings with the palm of my hand)!

First club I've asked to join here in quite a few years.

Over the years, I've chosen all my gear based on being able to use it for more than one style of music. This Rumble 500 will be used to play some Classic 60's rock, Trad country and blue grass to an older audience but when needed will have the oomph to fill a small to medium room. This amp has supplied everything I've asked of it.

If numbers are being assigned, yes please. If not I'll consider myself a member in good standing of a club that would be crazy to allow an old fart like me into it.
