Oh, I didn’t even know it did that… so i guess no? I inherited the bass amp. So I’ll start at that point. Like many bass players, I’m also a guitar player. I’ve played since about the age of 15, and now I’m 42. Wouldn’t claim 27 years experience, maybe like 5 years of experience actually learning. I never played with a band, but met some old high school friends and they needed a bass player and the rumble fell into my lap at the same time. Learning to listen for bass (never really paid much attention) has been fun, it’s led to a new love of soul music for me, especially Stevie Wonder. It took some time for me to learn how to play with a band and where a bass fits in. I’m practicing and slowly improving. Really trying to get to the point that I can have fun inside a groove and comfortably change it around while we play. I never thought I’d be in a band, especially not getting paid to play anywhere. It’s been a lot of fun, and I’m really thankful that I’ve gotten to experience this. In case anyone is curious, our band name is cracked vinyl.Does the red light (queue “Roxanne”) still pulse on ghe v1?
So why did I inherit a bass amp? My wife’s Uncle was a bit of a gear wheeler and dealer. My wife has memories of going to big guitar shows with him in the 90s. He passed away, and I helped my father in law move a serious amount of gear. So, bit of a sad circumstance. Found some cool stuff, James gang drum heads autographed by all members, personalized to him. He and his friend actually hand the drum heads created for the tour. There was also a Heil talkbox, signed by Joe Walsh and Bob Heil to him. Anyway, the bass amp was perfect timing, because I had nothing to use.
If you google search mkeller234, odds are you will find one of my many posts at bikeforums.com. My other hobby is classing steel racing bicycles.
