Member 207 again with an update on the addition of the 2nd Rumble 210 cab to my Rumble 500 combo rig. Previously I had tried the 112 cab with the 500 combo which I liked very much, but I researched and succumbed to the temptation to have the advantages mentioned here of dynamic coupling by having two identical cabs. I must say that this worked out MUCH better than I anticipated that it would. I got all the lows I wanted and a great punchiness with punchy mids, crisp highs (horn off on the combo, half on the ext. cab) and thunderous clean, deep, but not boomy lows. Ran it just above 1/4 gain and about the same on the volume. Played a gig with two keyboards, three horns, three guitars and drums with no problem in the mix or onstage volume. Thanks to those who recommended this and although I was quite pleased with the 112 extension cab, the other kicker was the 350 watts that the ext. Rumble cab handles. I also have a rack amp with a carvin amp and tech 21 RBI preamp that sounds incredible through the extension cab and can be used to input through the FX return to have 350 watts per side instead of splitting the 500 watt power of the combo. It was more power than I needed outside, but I kept it handy in case the volume got unbearable, but it never did. To celebrate, I went out and got a Rumble 40 V3 and traded in my old Rumble 25 which weighed a massive 32 pounds!!! Nice sound, but the little Rumble 40 is a way cool amp! Didn't care for the sound of the Rumble 100 though, anyone else find that one a little boxy?
