Fender Rumble Club

I know the new Rumble v3 combos are pretty new, but I was wondering if anyone has heard both the Rumble neo 112 cab *and* one of new Rumble v3 combos (100, 200 or 500). The descriptive words I'm reading for the v3 combos is vintage, dark, and warm. I'm wondering if the Neo 112 is a bit more balanced and clear. I've ordered a Rumble 500 v3 head, so I could drive a couple of neo 112s. Nothing is available locally to hear. Thanks for your input!

Bob

Depending on the signal you put into it, I expect you can do about anything with these. I'm using a 500 head with Fender Neo 410 cabs, and I can get any tone I want out of them.

Just took possession of the newest line 410 cab and a V3 500 watt head. First time I've been a full time working live bassist in decades. Been active in studio work for a very long time...

Anyhow, after giving the Rumble setup a good going over, I am more than amazed. I've used a lot of bass gear in the studio, but this is a monster in versatility and touch responsiveness... Will be going on the stages, with jobs booked from 200 seat clubs to 5000 seat venues in the next few weeks...Looks like Fender has a winner
Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, Ken Morgan! You are member #167 :hyper: It's always great to read such positive first hand feedback from working professional bass players

The Rumble 112 Neos are second generation cabs and have been discontinued. I have a pair that I run with my Rumble 350 head. They are very clean; punchy, and very light at 24 lbs. ebay is going to be your best bet to score a couple. I love mine and like them better than 10's or 15's.

:D Rumble On! :D

Played a new Rumble combo (500 watt 2x10) last week at Samash. Sounded pretty good, controls do what you expect them too and seemed to be plenty of power on tap. There was some possible cabinet buzz but it could have been the shelf. Pretty sure I'll get a Rumble 500 head when more are available.

I am really happy with the way B string on my Lakland 55-02 sounds. I can't notice any difference in output and clarity between B string and other strings. Which is great, because I tend to use B string more, even if I don't really have to. But, Laklands are known for really good sounding B strings.

Thanks!

Any more experiences/inputs on Rumble combos and five stringers?

After reading all the excellent reviews about this new line I decided to give the v3 115 cab a test drive. I've had the chance now to play this cab in the store, at home, in a band practice and 3 indoor gigs. This weekend I get the chance to check it out at an outdoor gig. I'm amazed so far. The look, the sound, the size and weight are very attractive. That along with the price tag probably make this guy one of the best buys out there. I've run an old trace 250 watt 7 band through it as well as a mb500 and with the tweeter full on there was no need for any eq adjustments on the amp or my onboard active eq. It handles a low B just fine for a single 15. It definitely can reproduce the sound of your bass and preamp accurately, sounds like a good quality studio monitor, and louder. We'll see how this guy does on the outdoor gig and how it holds up longterm but so far so good. I did experience the tolex curling on the back, but it was sitting in the hot car. I may be adding another shortly which may be all i'll ever need in the cab dept.

No number needed, just wanted to post another good review of this cab for anyone on the fence about them. Buy, Buy, Buy!

Well I'm afraid I'm going to have to give up my Rumble Club member number #163 because I sold my Rumble 500 head. Picked up a TC BH250 head and it is more of the sound I'm looking for. I have nothing against the Rumble and it is still a great buy. Just a matter of personal taste.

I have not, but I 've been in contact with Fender and the Rumble 115 cab will work just fine. The 115 & 410 cabs have been designed to mix 'n' match with either the Rumble 200 or 500 combos.

This stirs up the mixed speaker debate (not that I totally buy into into). How do they define "designed to mix n match"

As they don't make a 2x10 extension (bummer) and I think that a 4x10 is overkill, I like the idea of adding the 15.

Maybe Fender does not share the same nitpickiness of TB members. Do a Google search for 210 115 bass stack and there are loads of people using mixed speakers. I cant believe they omitted a 210 ext cab. I wonder what the reasoning is besides the 210 and 115 play nice together. With that being said, how do the V3 500 combo and an extra 115 stack? How does one access the controls now that they are higher and at the back of the combo?

Oh yeah, for decades it was standard to mix 10's and 15's.
Didn't realize it was uncool till I joined here, lol.

And as far as accessing the controls... Combined height would be about 3'8"... So I don't think it should be an issue for most.
