I'll look into that , thanksIf I were spending my own money, I would add the Rumble 115 cab to the R200 combo.
Wait! I did do that!
I am spending my 2015 IRS refund on a Bassman 500 hybrid head and an extra 115. That money should hit at about the same time as Guitar Center's 15%-off coupon on Memorial Day weekend. Coincidence or merely a remarkable concurrence of events without apparent causal connection?![]()
I have never ever been accused of showing any restraint whatsoever.
Yes - not ideal, but works. I plugged in an Acoustic Electric and a Strat - the AE sounded really good, Strat not so much. Typical Amp/Cab disclaimers - watch your levels, use your ears, etc.Question for the experts:

2 15's ........
The down-side to using a R200 combo with a R115 cab is that the cab is wider than the combo. To some, this is an unbearable breach of aesthetics. Hmph! I call it good solid sound!
The best reason to use the same speakers:
To get the most out of the line array effect (constructive interference with each other to send sound waves farther than traditional speaker combinations) the drivers should be matched, within reason. Think of linear arrays as free power. Ask any ham radio nerd about the benefits.
Free power directed in the most desired direction.
Yes, I've drunk the Kool-Aid.
Plus: science.
I see lots of t-40 basses for sale.. but it isn't very often I see a T-20!Just acquired a Fender Rumble 200,off Reverb.com. Just dropped off of the brown truck, this evening. Been checking different reviews, and video's on You Tube. Decided to get one,and really impressed with the different settings, and the weight! I understand you have member numbers? Would love to join. Here is a picture,of the 200,and one of the basses I was checking it out, with Peavey T20.View attachment 849102 View attachment 849103

There is a long story,on this T20,which I won't bore you with. It is real sentimental, mostly reason I bought it. Here are some pictures, with original pick guard someone trashed, and I cleaned it,and decided to put the reddish tort guard on there from Pick Guard Heaven. Didn't mean to load up the thread,on the Fender Rumble Club! Take Care!I see lots of t-40 basses for sale.. but it isn't very often I see a T-20!

No expert here but I have done it. With some eq tweaking I thought it sounded ok. I was just goofing around and was running a heavy fuzz in front of it, playing some stoner riffs so maybe it just worked cause it was dark and heavy sounding. But I've used other bass practice amps with guitar and they work fine. Main thing is eqing to your liking. Can I run a guitar into my new Rumble 40 v3 without damaging any gear?
Glad to hear the r100 is great for small gigs and that's what I want for band rehearsals ( nx month).Tonight I took my Rumble 100 to our open mic/jam instead of the 200 I have been taking lately. It did a great job and it was barely turned up at all. I am really enjoying the boost in the mids and highs recently. It just seems to be so much clearer and more defined. I still run my bass knob at noon, so there is nothing lacking in the bass. The 100 really is the perfect small gig amp.
I never played in a heavy classic rock group with heavy hitting drummer, but it seems to me that 200 watts with (2) ext cabs would be the minimum I would use in that setting if you're using only a 200 w head.Question for those using the 200. Does it hold up in loud, I'm talking loud, bands? Playing with a heavier classic rock group and the drums are pretty overpowering. My 100 combo can just barely be heard clanking along.
There's a too good to be true deal on a 200 head fairly close to me I wanna check out, but wanted some input from others who play with a loud drummer.
I'll probably be picking up a super cheap peavey 115 to use for now til I can sell my 100 and buy better cabs. And I think the peavey is 4ohms so it would pull the full 200 from the rumble.
You can get the same output in a Rumble 500 head and a pair of Rumble 112's. $1,000 for the Rumble rig vs $800 for the GK. I much prefer the Fender sound and modern active tone controls of the Rumble vs the fiddly interactive tone stack of the GK.It would be awesome if Fender released a 2x12 combo with 500w in 4 ohm. There are almost no competitors in that segment either except the GK mb212
