Fender Rumble Club

Received my Rumble 100 from Sweetwater today!!! Any chance I can score a member number?

I'm checking it out with the Sire V7 4-string (tobacco sunburst) that also arrived today!
The rumble v3 100 is a great amp. I tested one after I convinced a bass player friend that he needs one. I
walked into GC, with him, pointed at the V3 100 and asked to try one new... they obliged, in a sound-proof room
Excellent. I was happy to introduce him to it, and he says he likes it, bought it that night!. Glad for you, @austinrick! Now I'm wishing I had one.

How far are you from Oak Knoll?

So I had the 200c/112 up against 2 guitars, one with dual rectifier half stack, and another running through 2 half stacks, a bogner and a boutique Marshall style, drummer was a hard hitter, but not unbearably so. I always use plugs anyway.

My master was about 10 o'clock or so, I tend to dime the gain, boost high mids and treble, and cut low mids a bit, and cut bass as needed. Overdrive about 10oclock as well, level blended to match. I ran the of on all songs but the ballad, but kicked it on for the end. The guys seemed OK with it, of course there are more guys trying out, won't know for a few weeks.

For all you Rumble guys - I have contacted Mojo tone and sent them this pic from earlier in the post.

Andrew will be getting me a quote for a cabinet to house my 500, which should work for a 200 as well.

Will keep you informed.

LOVE the look (again) !

If you do the knobs and logo mods as described by Keven Smith here (TalkBASS Kevins1701) a few months ago, you'd really have something going on!

I mentioned when Yahboy first started showing his designs:
The Rumble v3 heads use the metal case to help control heat.
Let Andrew know that. Make sure plenty of air can circulate around there.

Yes I have let Andrew now about the cooling and the metal case. As for the knobs and logo - actually I like the white knobs and new logo better - sorry.

I'm getting settled into this new amp. My word, the tone on this with flats is ridiculous! I look forward to the opportunity to open her up, have to keep her volume down so as not to irritate the spousal unit. I have her sitting atop my old Crate combo and I have noticed a slight hiss even with the horn turned off (it's way more evident with it on) and I attribute that to being closer to my ear and the relative quietness of the man cave. I certainly hear the fan, which is new to me since the Crate did not have one. It's not obnoxious and would be a non issue on any stage or venue setting. But the tone, WOW!

Also, put my Korg Pitchblack tuner and Digitech BP200 pedal on the FX loop. The pedal induces a little more hiss to the speaker output, but you don't notice it while playing. I don't use the pedal much, but there are times I need a little something extra sound wise for the praise songs we do at church. I like to practice using anything extra just to make sure it's good to go.

Love, love, love this amp!

You know what is flat? Death! Death is flat. ie: a 'flat liner' in the hospital is the pulse of a dead man. Many have gone to extreme expense to obtain ironing board flat tone and frequency response only to find out (much to their chagrin) that they sounded absolutely dead! No life and no color of life in their music at all. Be happy for colored sound and baked in Fender tone. I am ;)
As Ian from Spinal Tap states:

Ian: David, David, every, every movie, in every cinema is about death; death sells!

Flats are always best. President Linnin is a big fan of GHS Precision Flats, which are the strings I use on my primary. I use La Bellas on shorties.
