Fender Rumble Club

The Rumble rocked it loud last night:

You ain't no douche--you own a Rumble!
If only that was a qualifying factor. However I was being facetious, as I was sent here (earth/3rd dimension) to annoy and be annoyed by douchebags. And most douchebags I have known tend to have expensive gear that is the same as whomever rock star they were trying to emulate in the most sycophantic way. But some of them rocked carvins, peaveys, and even crates.

Douche is an attitude, and I made a douche like slip (in my opinion) for making a post about such a matter.

There are a lot of douchebags in orange county California... They tend to be very proud of their DW drums, boogie dual rectifiers and PRS guitars. They could never give me crap for my swr rig and Warwick basses at the turn of the millennium when doucherock ruled supreme. But I have had experience recently with douches hearing the rumble with their eyes instead of ears, and likely picking the fellow douche who showed up to the next audition with a larger $3k rig and equally smug attitude that goes along with the genetic programming of douchebag royalty.

Ok guys, has anyone tried out the Rumble 410 v3 and the Bassman Neo 410 cab? Is there a huge difference between the two? Outside of weight and different size specs, is there any major tone differnces?

Thanks.
From what I hear the difference is not reflected in the cost difference, and many bassman head owners use rumble cabs.

Many dont like the way neos perform compared to traditional alnico magnets. The rumbles being neither at ceramic, but apparently sound more alnico-ish than the neos, without the weight and cost of alnico itself.

The best part is, they look almost the same from the front, so it is harder for the price snobs to pick you out rocking a rumble instead of a bassman.

But honestly haven't tried either of those 410s. So maybe I shouldn't have chimed in. My favorite 410 cabs have been the swr Goliath III, eden d410xlt, and nods to the ampeg 410hlf though I never owned one.

I can say that the rumble 10's in the 500c, the 15" and 12" are good, not 100% of the older swr Bertha 15s but lighter and less costly.

Personally I would take the rumble over the bassman, but cost is a factor, you could buy a spare head with the cost difference. As for my Goliath , the phrase cold dead fingers comes to mind. The Bertha was separated from me by sneakier methods that left me alive.

When Geddy Lee found out they farmed his MIJ to MIM, he demanded that an MIA version of his Sig be made. Or maybe it was that rush fans have more money than Marcus Miller fans have? Since Marcus also changed from DR to Dunlop... Downward mobility, appeal to MII lower priced products (like our rumbles).

Actually I'm sure it was more Fender's marketing department based on the popularity of the GL than demands from the man himself...

In a universe that forked differently than the one I am in now, I would surely have added a MIA geddy to my arsenal.

See what I meant by being wired differently? All that conjecture about geddy Lee basses simply because his Sig and MMs Sig came out the same year and modeled after 70s jazz basses they are known for, but still not everyone knows what a sire V7 is.

Who's end did the plug get pulled from, Marcus' or Fender's? Perhaps it was more based on demand? I do not claim to have any inside info, but I'm sure fender was selling 10 GLs to 1 MM.

Lower the price to $400 and upgrade the preamp specs and bam, demand exceeds supply.

I wonder when they will come out with a p bass and who's Sig it will be?

Political faux pas. Big Brother on the scene with a splay bern and neuralizers , that was some blast! you boys aught to be more careful before discharging your weapons that close to a gas main, especially you!

There is no division 6.

Brought to you by the big money.

I have had the NEO cabs.. they sound great, but never got to gig them.. someone them more than I, so I sold them.. As for the Rumble cabs.. I can't tell you anything.. wish I could!

Isn't PRS from the Lovers state?

I feel like I should buy a Fender Rumble 2x8 cabinet just to live up to my #208 membership number.

Plus, I might actually want a small cab and that seems like a good size. As much as I love my Rumble 40, I'm starting to think that an older Rumble Neo cab + my BH250 would do fine as a home amp that I could take anywhere. But if I'm going old Rumble, then why get a 112 when I can get a 208 instead?
