Fender Rumble Club

Scott, I was looking at ordering a 500 from GC with the 15% coupon, but it said that Fender products were excluded!

I know!

On previous coupons it only said "Fender Custom Shop".
I pointed out the addition of just plain "Fender" on the coupon (in extremely fine print) to one of the managers and he said, "We'll just see if it scans," and it did. He also commented that if it didn't scan, he'd make it work so I still got the discount.

Good price. Hopefully it's not all bashed up. I sent an email.
I had sent one too, he never replied because I specified that I already blew my budget on the 112, but asked if he wanted to trade for pedals. Likely taken as the typical Craigslist timewaster so I didn't get a reply. It doesn't look bashed up, but it had an svt on its back injecting a good deal of tube watts into it. But that speaker should handle that with no problem.

I have to take the 5th on your last question, shhhh!

Let us know if he replies and if you get it. A 2x115 stack with a 500 should be a formidable setup, if you are into 15s.

I used to patronize that nearby guitar center quite a bit. Actually got my 200 there with the 15% black Friday deal 2014.

I got my first jazz bass there around 1996, my original swr cabs in 98 (got the 350 head from Jim's, also my 98 american jazz).

But the real money I spent in that store was studio recording gear...

It is a shame what has happened to that company post buyout, I was pretty much on grinder supreme status before, usually getting 10 up or better deals. That just doesn't happen anymore.

BTW, Jim's, now in tustin, formerly Irvine, is likely to beat any GC price, you just might have to wait a while for them to order it. I usually deal with Tom Sebastian, who actually sold me my first guitar in 1991 and is still there.

I was just joking about the buzzing noise as in noise from the bees in your photo. ;) By the way, does the 5-yr US warranty cover those bees, too?

As for the Fender warranty in Canada, I'm not sure. I should check into that.

Yes, best check. In Australia we get a 1 yr non-transferable warranty from Fender.
Not impressed.

Im pretty set on a R115; now it's just the how and the when. The what seems sorted. :)

Ha ha! That's me!

I owe my latest acquisition of the Bassman 500 hybrid head to my IRS refund!

I'm almost done. I need to skip lunches for a while and get a 2nd 115 cabinet. In all practical seriousness, the Rumble v3 200 combo is all I need for any of the playing I'll be doing in the next few years. But I NEEEEED to get that Bassman500/R115/R115 stack because reasons! You understand that, right?

Could we regard a Bassman 500 as a Rumble Streamliner for Rumble Club purposes?
:)

I'm far more impressed with the Bassman 500. I had a chance to jam with a friend's Streamliner 900 and Hartke HyDrive 112 cabs. Quite an expensive rig, and I was stoked. After the jam I was nonplussed. I was expecting greatness and got: Meh; OK, and So What. To me the Fender Bassman 500 is everything every other hybrid was supposed to be, but isn't/wasn't.

Eden is good. Just how Holy is your Smoke? Hmmmm?

About as smokey as the holy.

I was getting the tone I thought I was missing at higher volumes. It kinda confirmed my suspicion, that when pushed to gigging levels, the Rumble 210 seems to "max out" tone wise by itself. Like it isn't hitting all the way, for lack of better description. It is still useable by all means, but with the Eden, it seemed to open up way more depth. Not sure if it was because of the 2nd cab or because it was the Eden itself. I need to explore a bit.

It was way more fuller sounding and had way more depth and definition. I'm hoping the Ruble 410 cab can do that by itself. Or I may push to 2x 410 cabs. (I like matching cabs from same makers as the amp) And I'm smitten with the Bassman 500, would look and sound great with the 410 I think. Keep the Rumble as a back up.

Plus I still need to sort out my GK 212MBII combo. But I'm not too concerned as I go farther down the rabbit hole with Fender. Now If I could justify owning a Super Bassman 300.....

I'm glad I don't have the where-with-all to afford such. I enjoy what I have, and do not desire more.

Embarrassingly, I'll just point out that the streamliner comment was an attempt at humour...

Oops, missed.

No Pressure, that is why I like being part of this group! There was another group that I participated with on here.. there was some nice comparisons going between the item the group is mainly about and another instrument. Well one of the "fanbois" was letting it get to him and it didn't take long for it to show that it was getting under his skin that they were not talking about the instrument in loved so much! Here.. not mere a ruffled feather! I like that!

Worry Not! It's important for us to think whatever we will without any recompense. We Rumble Forward.
