Fender Rumble Club

Just got home from playing a club in Branson that I had never played before with people I had never played with before. Fender Precision into my Rumble 200 on a Gramma with Dubs ear filters. It absolutely rocked!!! After we played, they brought us dinner. A customer later recognized me as the "bass player" and spoke only in the language of compliments about the music. It was a pretty big room and long. I was wondering if I might have needed the 1x15 extension cab. I didn't. I only ran the amp halfway up on the gain and volume with the bass backed off about 10% so I always have the bump if I need it. This was a nice gig in a packed club. The Rumble 200!

Why wait? You can join now! Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club @javiercorre! :woot: You are member #646 :hyper:  Rumble On!

Today I received my rumble 100 so I can officially say I joined the club:bassist:, even though I was between the rumble 40 and a used rumble 75 I got the 100 because I got a coupon for an online store and I only paid $233 for it.

This thing is awesome, even the overdrive channel sounds great and its so light but so loud. Unfortunately I cant test it to its full potential yet because I live in an apartment and not even at half volume this little guy make my windows shake like crazy fortunately i'm moving to a house in a few weeks, I cant wait.:hyper:

My cat is so happy with his new box too:

99z3 and linnin Fair enough. I envy that. But I have been in the market for new cabs and have been attracted to the Rumbles based on the positive comments here. But nobody has anything negative to say. Is Fender really making really high quality cabs at half the price of the competition?
The Rumble detractors here on TB fall into two categories, those who have tried them, and those who haven't. The opinions of the latter may of course be completely disregarded, as they're not based on anything real. Of those who have tried them, again there seems to be two categories, those who don't like how they sound, and those who dislike the fact that the XLR out is post-Master/EQ. This is fair enough, but none of these things are actually anything to do with quality. They're a result of conscious design decisions by Fender. Now, you can like or dislike those decisions, and they may or may not work for you, but what you cannot do is say that the Rumble series is bad quality because of it. Many see the low price as a sign that corners have been cut somewhere, and certainly that might be the case, but I'm unable to find any corner-cutting that has impacted performance in a negative way. Also, they're not THAT cheap. My first amp, the 25W Ampeg BA 108, was half of the price of the Rumble 25, and the corner-cutting was quite obvious there, BTW.

For me post eq is what i want. It could be considered corner cutting to not have a switch to choose pre/post. For me it's a non issue. Brand snobs will hate out of emotion. There is no logic to it. Then again my love of the brand has an emotional component - peek at my avatar.
^^^This^^^ You pay good money to get a sound you like. Why in the world would you want to send a dry EQ-less signal to the mixing board? It just baffles me.

There's always an emotional component to ones likes and dislikes - it would be weird otherwise. I tend to stay loyal to brands that deliver on their promises - for me, the quality guarantees the brand, not the other way around. There's lots of good stuff out there, of course, but Fender has delivered just what I want at a very attractive price point.

Eminence designed, and manufactured in Eminence, Kentucky USA, the neos in the Bassman Pro cabinets.

However some like cupcakes better, .... er I mean ceramic-ferrite magnet driven woofer motors better. It's your choice and just as valid as any other.

I would think the 2-10's might not be heard very well with the 1-15 on top.
Actually that is a V2 Rumble 350 head with a V2 Rumble 112 Neo on top with the V2 Rumble 208 (2x8) cabinet on the bottom. I decided to go with a pair of the V2 Rumble 112 Neo's for my Rumble 350 gig-rig. Excellent sound quality with stellar tone. Plenty deep with lots of punch. Solid meaty mids with soaring highs. And oh, did I forget to mention LOUD!?

loved that set-up - wanted to do a 2 2x8s or 2 1x12s with that head - but got such a good deal on the 2x10 combo I went that route...was a great amp for me - sold it before I moved to China

Thinking of picking up one of the V3 combos while I am home this summer for a visit (they are still selling V1 Rumbles here in China...)

Hey good Rumble people! 6 weeks ago I broke my wrist and so I couldn't play anymore (nor do a lot of other things) :(
The cast came off a week ago and after some exercises to make it flexible again, I finally tried playing again today.
And it went better than I expected! :):hyper:

To celebrate that, here is another picture of my modded 100V3 and 210V3:
