Fender Rumble Club

Stop it! Stop it! I have myself convinced I don't need an extension cabinet for my 200. Not listening. La la la la la.......not hearing anything.....:D
GregT, how can you say "no" to this stacked piece of thunderous art? It's a thing of beauty.....buy....buy....buy

the V3 Rumble came out, I sold the Rumble 15 and purchased the 40 with the class D amplifier. Under 20 pounds was a bonus.

I started thinking about the efficiency of this technology and being un-impressed with the sound of the Roland Bass Cube

Good choice. I got to this forum by researching the other amp. Happy I did.

... Did some calculations and figured a 400 watt inverter with a sealed deep cycle 12 amp battery would give me 28 to 32 hours of of power between recharge.

I'm about 7 hours into the initial charge at 1/2-3/4 volume, not keeping a log, just putzing around. I have ordered a low power battery charge monitor to throw in the mix, Nice Jeep/sail boat amp. I may even pick up another 15 or build one from the TPS 3116 class D circuit board, I may need the space saving smaller amp on the sail boat.

I LIKE this!!

Looks like the 200c is going to debut on Friday. Gonna play a local "jam" at a bar. This guy books it as a jam, mainly to get others to play with him, but it is a pretty fun time and he plays out almost every week. The issue is he has all his music on an iPad in .pdf and he puts up the lyrics on a big screen in front of whoever is playing with him, but the chords are off to the side, not on top of the lyric the change happens on. Sucks, especially as a newb. So I will spend most of my time watching the guitar for the changes. At any rate, it will be a good time to try her out live. Now the question is, which bass to cart along.

I feel for you. I'm in a similar situation in my volunteer group. Songs change frequently and lucky to get a printout of the lyrics, sometimes get chords. Often don't get a chance to study if the bass line is different to just all root notes.
I just go bom bom bom along with the Rythym at my best effort. Still fun tho.

I know what you mean. I pretty much suck at this point but I can bang root notes and manage a groove with them, usually throw a fifth in there once I get comfortable, but then the song ends, lol.

Just ordered some GHS pressure wounds from bassstringsonline.com! To take advantage of the free shipping (missed it by .05) I also ordered a set of Dunlop strap locks so I can swap my favorite Levy's strap between basses. The Traben has Schaller strap locks, but I really like the Dunlop system better.

Oh, Rumbles Rock! Just to keep it pertinent to the thread. :bassist::bassist::bassist:

Well, I finally pulled the trigger on a 2x10 extension for my 500c. I was in GC to pick up some other monitors I'd ordered and told a sales guy I deal with frequently I would buy the cab as soon as there was some sort of 15% off deal and asked him when the next one might be. He went to check with the manager and they cooked up something in the back room and I got the 15% off. It should be here next week. Now to order the MBD cover for it.

Cool! I'm sure you will like that rig, as I do mine :)
