Fender Rumble Club

Someone please take over the running of the Rumble Club. I have to go away for a while for medical reasons, and it is unsure how much longer I have left to live. Rumble On!

'Vaya con Dios' My old friend. All the best to ya'.

It seems that I have found this thread at a very inauspicious time. Linnin, my best wishes for a speedy recovery.

It is always astonishing to me how a shared interest can so often lead to an almost instant kinship. Rumble on!

I am relative newbie. My Rumble V3 100 is my first and only bass amp. And makes my long-time bass-playing friends superbly jealous!

I sometimes wish I would have gotten a smaller Rumble--AND a bigger one. I'm just not sure if this is quite big enough to gig with (when I get to that point), and it is definitely overkill as a practice amp. But I suppose it doesn't matter, I gots what I gots, and I love it. :)

I have both the Rumble 100 and 200. I like the 200 better, but the 100 gets taken out a lot more. You can easily do a small to medium gig with the 100. If you have PA support, you can use the line out to the board with great results. A lot of us have the 500 which is also very stage worthy....and then some.

In Linnin's absence, we would welcome you to the Rumble Club complete with a number if you'd like. So far no one has stepped up and offered to fill in for Linnin yet. Probably because we all realize we can in no way fill his shoes. Still, he has asked us to keep this going for him. We all want to believe he will be back with us soon.

The only modern Rumble amp I have tried, has been the 500 combo, it was used with a price of 299.00 on it, I really loved the tone that was coming from that combo with a Spector Legend bass. I waited two days and went back, it was gone. Every time I go to that store, they never have a Rumble 500 combo in stock, they always have the others. Never any used ones, just new ones. I hope my story is getting across to you sir!

Question for big and little Rumble combo owners:

I just picked up a Rumble 25 for practice and was really impressed at how nice it sounds, actually i admit i was surprised at how nice it sounds. Are the big combos (115 and 210) in the same tonal world as the little 25?

I have a 40 and a 200 and I think I can easily dial in similar tones. That said, the 15" in the 200 is going to knock out much better lows and have far more punch. If you love the 25, you will love x's 200 the bigger combos.

Can I get a number? Only joined TB the other day and the first post I read is bad news from Linnin. Best of luck and health, I hope you're posting again soon.

I just completed my Rumble kit, 500 head, v3 4x10 and a v3 115 stacked. Fired it up in the garage and damn near rattled the tools off the shadow board. I'll use the 115 for rehearsals as its light and not as directional as the 4x10, and stack them for big gigs.

The big benefit is that I'm rehearsing and gigging with the same head for the first time. I used to use a GK112 in rehearsals but it's sound was very different and it was unreliable to boot. Because I only used the 500 for gigs without a house PA and used the GK for rehearsals I never got used to it or explored the full capabilities. Now I'm in it full time I'm very pleased. I was going to shell out a bundle on a Markbass rig but now I'll just keep that money in my pocket for a rainy day, ie. More gear.

I can't wait to get the new stacked rig into a venue. Unfortunately my next two gigs have house bass speakers, drats.

Gman, I am seriously green. Now THAT is a stack!

Another noob question for everyone: how can you tell how many "watts" of cabs you can put below a given amp head?
