Fender Rumble Club

:) Happy Fender Friday, @Linnin! When you're right, you're right.

Does this look alright?

It's only photo trickery right now, but I'm thinking about it. ;)
Of course me likey! Just pop a Rumble 115 on top of that Bassman Pro 115. Tell us what you think. How's the sound? Do they match well? Do ampegs burst into flames whenever you boot up?

So my 500 head arrived, the 210 cab will arrive early next week. I went ahead and plugged it in, powered it up and grabbed some earphones to give it a try. Ive never had earphones running direct from an amp before but the sound was not that good, real clanky and sort of flat/dull sounding. Is that typical for earphone/earbud sound?

No not at all. You need serious studio grade headphones and not some ear candy buds.

It's so hard not to order the cab today after I discovered the 20% off the MF is offering. If they would've been in stock, I would've already ordered it. I'd just really hate to wait until after New Years for the cab.

The 410 is in stock, but it's twice as heavy, and my end goal was a 410 that was modular and light weight. I could stand a second trip, my young (but damaged) back can't handle 65-70 pounds as easy as 30.

Decisions, decisions.
2 rumble 210 is far superior to a single 410, not only in weight and impedance loading, but the staggered design is better for dispersion and also allows for more cabinet area per driver allowing a deeper low end push than most side by side rectangular 210 type cabs. Most will agree.

I guess on the sax the fingerings change drastically depending on the key. But, not so much on the bass. I am fumbling... lololol

The bass is very logical. tuned in 4ths, just move your scales around. The sax is kind of like a rube goldberg machine with lots of levers and buttons keys. Seems like adolphus just tossed in keys wherever he could cram them when he wanted to get a note working.

OK! 45 days 'til Winter NAMM 2017. We know the new Fender Bassman 800 will be the big bass amp deal. The new Fender American Professional line will be formally introduced to take the place of the discontinued American Standard series. The Rumble line is selling so well that I don't foresee any major changes. I wonder if a new more powerful Bronco bass amp might become a reality? I am hoping for a lefty Dimension.

I actually did do a bit of Christmas decoration today.

Rumble related, I used the Super Bassman clone out of the tone pool last night into today. It was absolutely wicked by itself and with the Mini set to a Black Keys-esque fuzzy drive. I'm really torn if I want to get rid of it now. the 210 cab and a head will be plenty portable, so it really probably doesn't make much sense to keep it, but part of me wants to.
