Fender Rumble Club

My Fender Rumble 200C V3 combo and Fender Rumble 112 V3 cabinet.

The Rumble 112 V3 cab (12"/8 ohms/250 watts RMS power handling) and the Rumble 115 V3 cab (15"/8 ohms/300 watts RMS power handling) are both the same price but the 115 cab is larger in height/width/depth and is eight (8) pounds heavier. I am currently driving a 4-door coupe and the 115 cab would be more difficult to transport when bringing both the combo and the cab. The 112 cab is the same exact width/depth as the 200C combo so they both can be stacked vertically with the 200C on top of the 112 cab. However, I want the 200C combo on the bottom since it contains a 15" speaker and the 112 cab on top since it contains a 12" speaker. In order to have the rig this way, I turn the combo on its side and place the cab on top.

These two sound really good together.
that's my rig. Initially I used an ampeg 210 with it, or an swr 110, so I would just turn it on its side like that, and I also had the whole "15 has to be on the bottom" mindset. I sold the ampeg because I was about to buy an old swr 210, but before I could, I got ripped off in the desert, and lost my 110, my 115, my 210, my head rack etc... (But not the rumble 200, as that was safe in my dead car at "home"), and ended up being detained too long to do anything about the theft, nor buy the 210 I wanted...

Still needing a cab, I got the 112 from @honeyiscool and that has pretty much been my rig since then, I put the 112 on the bottom, it sounds fine, 15 on top = nice mids actually, and the 112 has good enough lows. I say stack normally, it is so much easier to adjust. I got over my 15 on bottom complex real quick with that rig

I am going to build the Fender wall of DOOM.

My Fender Wall of Doom:

IMG_20160318_111344.jpg

Left: BM 150 on BM 250 = 400w Right: Rumble 500c on BM 115 = 500w. Total = 900w !

Then I added the BM 500 head:

That made the new right: BM 500 on Rumble 500c = 700w New Total: 1100w !!!

Sadly, I've never got to use either the 900w wall nor the 1100w wall. :rollno: But I live in hope!

The 400w stack was plenty for years. Then the 500w stack was more powerful and lighter for a couple years. Now the 700w stack is tops in my book! :D

But, truthfully, the Rumble 500c alone is still plenty, and lightest, for most needs.
:) Still waiting for the right gig for the BM 500 head with 115 cab alone.

I can't decide what I want to know about more:

- the heavy ass amp head not falling backwards
- the weird guitar with no strings and some space age pickup thing on it

The merely 17 lb. Bassman 500 head is secured to the cab with piggyback hardware from:
Invalid Link Removed
It has also been known to work with vintage Fender heads and probably other, more heavy ass, amp heads since at least the 60s, if not the 50s..

The guitar came with the grandkids' "Rock Band" video game. I particularly like the Beatles version and have the drum set with "The Beatles" drum head and a stringless plastic Hofner with whammy bar! :bassist:

I asked for advice on the rumble 500 and 210 cab a few weeks back. Well I bought the Bassman 500 and rumble 410 today. I'm in love!!!

Congratulations, @Worshipbass12! Looks like you qualify for both The Rumble Club here, and for The Bassman Club here:
Official Fender Bassman Club Pt II

Pics are desired in both places, please.

Fender wall of Doom. To hook up two 500c's..... do I go from one effects loop to the effects loop of the other ?

Makes sense to my addled mind.....

Yes, sir, Mr. @Steadfast. Effects Send from one to the Effects Return of the other. The one plugged into the Effects Send becomes the master and it's sound is sent directly to the slave's power amp, bypassing the slave's preamp.

I've only ever done one master to one slave. Wonder if a slave's Effects Send could go to another slave's Effects Return? And so on, to chain my BM500 to the Rumble 500c, to the BM250, to the BM150? Sure would simplify building the wall! Anyone ever tried daisy-chaining 3 amps like this?

But, if the slave's preamp is being bypassed, it doesn't seem that there would be anything for it's Effects Send to send. Hmmmm..... IDK.

That's one way. You could also take the effects send from one into the regular input (on top) to be able to use both tone stacks. Your first way would make one a clone of the other in terms of switch and pot settings. The second set of controls wouldn't do anything except volume.

Just purchased a Rumble 500 combo. I'll probably add a 2x10 or a 15 for gigs. I was looking for something more vintage sounding than the MarkBass stuff I've been using for the last few years.
Welcome Rumbler #757! That is why I chose the Rumble 500c. It can do some sweet vintage sounds. If you haven't looked at the Fender Rumble Tone Pool, there are some settings you will surely love. Fender Rumble Club "TONE POOL"
Rumble on!

That is the best way to do it. The advantage is you only have to do the EQ settings on one amp. Go from the Effects Send on the amp you will plug your bass into (master) to the Effects Return on the other (slave). Do you EQ on the master.

I don't think that will work. The Effects Send comes off the preamp, so if an amp is a slave, I don't think there will be a signal on it's Effects Send. You could split the signal from the master and have two slaves, I think.
disclaimer: This is speculation. Someone who has enough amps should try it and report back.

I just got this rig this week and I realized that I do not have to be completely adamant about having the 15" speaker on the bottom and the 12" speaker on top since the Eminence speakers used in the Fender Rumble series are excellent. For their respective sizes, the 15" speaker has good detail/tightness and the 12" speaker has good bottom end. There's no bad set-up choice. I am impressed.
That make you Rumbler #758. Rumble on!
