Fender Rumble Club

I just thought it was worth mentioning that I thought I had a similar problem. The 100 is powerful enough to get things in the house rumbling along with it. Might be worth it to try it outside with nothing near to vibrate. Then again, it might not be this at all. I am not the only one who has had this happen though!!

Thanks, Greg. Actually, it's not a vibration, but kinda like as if you tapped the cone with your finger at the attack of the note. I've heard the sound before in other speakers where they were overpowered. It's not the sound of my nails either, nor do I notice it in the headphones. It just sounds purely like a speaker that isn't up to snuff to the power applied to it.

Can't find anything wrong with anything. Nothing loose. I did notice that the cab has no bracing inside from what I could see from the ports. But that's another story.

I'll be taking the amp to a friend's Thursday for a rehearsal, although a quiet one. But it will be interesting to try it in a different environment.

I wasn't traveling with the heavy hitters for the sake of traveling with the heavy hitters. I had messed up my car which had the rumble 200 in it by the way, and I decided to skip town on a whim and alternative fuels experiment with my van, which happened to be where I stored said heavy hitters at the moment. Unfortunately things in my luggage were even more valuable than said heavy hitters. If I live long enough perhaps a movie will be made about that incident in an unfriendly town. The sci fi ending will be the same as AVP requiem (and maybe in real life, since there are dangerous factions there that could benefit from the install of trinitite pavement)

When it rains, eh? I've been pretty lucky with only one burglary in my life. They grabbed one sweater from a stack, the only one that was needlessly expensive, my Hugo Boss suit, my louder-than-it-looked little JVC stereo, my binoculars, just my good stuff that could be carried out. My cabs and head were not in the carry-out category but my "lawsuit" guitar was. It was just a prop or a loaner if someone had a failure. I guess I was fortunate that my vintage Fender was stored at the recording studio. But anyway, the thief had good taste, I'll give them that much. - and my stuff, I guess I gave them that. :(

Been hit about 5-6 times in the last 4 years. The first 2 I was still covered by renters, after that it has been a total loss. I'm still waiting for a karmic payoff, maybe in the next life.

What kind of speakers are in the cab?
They are ported out the front. I count two and measure about 3.75" diameter. Depth is 4.25"

The cabinet does not have metal receptacles for casters on the bottom. The four nubs are screwed in with wood screws (see pics).

Here's a couple pics of the cab. Note that the top has 4 screw-in depressions. I'm guessing that's to facilitate a head?

You know that has actually got me considering buying another 500C and chaining them together instead of the 210 cab.....hmmmmmm
I wish I had thought of that before I got my 2x10. you get 650w through 4x10 instead of 500w and and you have an instant backup without carrying extra gear.
But, if I got another 500, I could get 1150w through 6x10 and still get 500w in a backup situation.
1150w through 6x10. Oh my! I feel the GAS coming on.

Wouldn't the math be: 1x 500C 350W, 2x 700W and 3x 1050W?
Still awesome though!
