Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

.
I just discovered this article, maybe some of you have seen it, with this quote from 7ender CEO Andy Mooney, "a digital amp development that will “blow peoples’ minds”,"!!!

Of course, my mind goes to the further possibilities for bass modeling (which the current products already blow my mind). Can you say, "Super Studio 100?" or "Super Stage 1200?!?". I dunno. Actually, the article mentions their Tone Master tube amp simulators. But, I think the LT25, Studio & Stage are even more amazing!
.

Well, here it is! Now blowing guitarists minds, and rumored to someday blow bass players minds, too!

.
Hmmm, ... ... perhaps the new 1,000 watt FRFR powered speakers, the Tone Master FR-10 and FR-12, are the new frontrunners for reinforcement of the Rumble Studio 40, or even the Stage 800!

But, I dunno. The cabs don't really look deep enough for good bass response to me. Or is it just my biased eyes?

FR-12 is 70 Hz-20 kHz, so pretty useless for bass

Yeah, you're right. That doesn't look good for a E1 @ 41 Hz, much less my favorite low B @ 31 Hz. But that doesn't mean it can't do well at the rest of the bass range above A1 @ 55 Hz.

... , based on the early reviews, the FR-10 and 12 sounds very guitar-oriented, so they are not properly FRFR cabs that handle bass frequency well...

Certainly the presets the reviewer heard were very guitar-oriented, since that's all that's available, so far. But, unless he found a bass preset and compared it through some FRFR headphones to an FR-1x cab, then he couldn't have made a reliable determination that the cab was "very guitar-oriented", which he didn't actually say. Sorry, but I don't think the cab just being "voiced like a Fender" necessarily means it's "very guitar-oriented" compared to bass.

Do you have any other early reviews to support your opinion?

I'm wondering if Fender are working on a bass package of software + lower-frequency FRFR cab. Given that they've only got so many people to work on any given project at any given time, and given that the guitar market is huge compared to the bass market, it would make the most financial sense to do a guitar release before a bass release. Maybe in time for Christmas? I sure dunno.

My 5 year old Stage 800 has mysteriously cut out (no volume at all) the last 2 jams I attended. I would be playing and then no sound for a couple of seconds and then it would come back. I tried changing cords but it still cut out. The amp stays in a locker at the jam space. I haven’t updated the firmware in quite a while so I am going to try that first.
Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks,
Mark

Make sure the the wi-fi is turned OFF. Only turn it on for firmware updates, then turn it back off. Learned this the hard way on my Studio 40. I did a firmware update check when I bought it, but never turned the wi-fi back off. The audio would occasionally cut out on me and I was afraid I'd gotten a bum unit. It's a well-documented issue, stated by both Fender and several posts in TB. Should have read the manual. Duh.
