Thanks G-Dog :) been following Rumble Club and this thread for quite a while, just never posted anything.
My main amp is Rumble 500 V3 combo, LT25 is just for practice.

Rumble 500 v3 with VP and LT25 with Streamer CV:

I have PC. Got ASIO part, forgot about USB gain. Downloaded Reaper, but got lost right there at the beginning of setting it up. I tried to follow some instructions videos on YouTube but somehow all I got was squeaking sound from my computer speakers and nothing that sound like my bass. So I guess I need help with the Reaper.

Are you using an interface like a Focusrite Scarlett?

Great pix of your Rumbles, tommy! Please post 'em in the main Rumble Club thread for a free membership. That T-bird is bound to get some appreciation there, too!

It might be something on my side meaning that I have no idea how to work with this DAW.
This is first time that I am trying to record my bass.
Something like GarageBand looks more intuitive and probably would be easier to get around but I don have Mac so…..
I have an iPhone though and was thinking about iRig but having LT25 I thought I would like to use effects from it for recording.

Thanks. Will post as long as I am getting #1400 :D

:roflmao::laugh: Very superstitious, Writing's on the wall,
:roflmao::laugh::roflmao: Very superstitious, Ladders 'bout to fall,
Don't want no unlucky '13', huh?

Well, I can't pre-issue future numbers at this time, and we just now issued #1380. So, we're getting close! If you wanna keep watching and post your pix at 'just the right time', then I'll try to see what I can do. :D

Update on my attempt to record something using just LT25 and the Reaper (no interface).
I made it work. Found the glitch. Everything I was doing on Reaper based on YouTube tutorial was right. The problem was ASIO settings. I had to many options highlighted.
Here is how it should be:

All presets from my LT works perfect.
Now all I need is to learn how to polish what’s been recorded.

Attention: Rumble Club Wiki Edit Alert!

Thanks, @agedhorse. A link to your post sharing Reasons Not to Add Extension Speaker Jack to Rumble 100 Nor to Change Speaker to 4 Ohms has been added to the Rumble Club Wiki page in the top part of the Rumble Modifications section and near the top of the Rumble Speaker Replacements section. That's some very enlightening information that many need to know, so I hope this captures them for future use.

Rumblers: He worked with the designer of the V3 Rumbles!

Thank you, Andy, for sharing these tips.

"Replicate This Tone" Challenge

I would like to share this attempt to emulate the tube tone of the Super Bassman as described in this video:

Amp model: Super Bassman OD

Gain: 3.9; Volume: 10; Treble: 9.0; Middle: 8.2; Bass: 6.4; Blend: 2.8; Master: 4.3

Mid Freq: 1620; Deep: OFF; Bright: OFF; Compressor MID1; Noise Gate: OFF; Gate Position: PRE; Sag: MATCHED

Cabinet: 4x10 PRO

Global EQ Settings: Flat EQ

This is the link to the uploaded preset:

Any suggestions?

Can’t evaluate as I don’t have Rumble Studio but I am sure you did a great job.
Later I will tray to adapt these settings to my LT25 and see how it sounds.
Don’t have Fender but my Streamer CV which is Warwicks’ take on vintage Fender Jazz should get me close into that territory.
From what I see she has both pickups and tone full open.

Has anyone tried daisy chaining a Studio 40 with a 500 V3 as an alternative to the stage 800?

Yes, it has been done or at least there have been discussions of how it will work theoretically. You'll find discussions on here. I was planning to do that after I got my Studio 40, but found a deal on a used Stage 800 before I found a Rumble 500.

Yes, I have. A discussion of its difference from chainIng regular Rumbles together is linked in the Chaining Combos Together section of our Rumble Club Wiki page, repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge. The RS40's FX Send must go to the R500c's input to get appreciable reinforcement!

In fact, since the RS40 has STEREO FX Loops, I look forward to, someday, using my RS40, R500c and Bassman 500 as a STEREO rig!

G-Dog. I really like the Super Bassman Clean (setting #1) on the Studio/Stage. As an owner of a real Bassman 500, how close is it to the real thing?

I find that I can get the RS40 to sound identical, to my ears, to my Bassman 500, which has the exact same preamp, tubes and all, of the Super Bassman. I recommend you try 'em, ... both!

I'll get that photo uploaded tonight @G-Dog !

Some stereo FX loop fun to be had it seems, but in this case I was just experimenting to see if I could add the 4 GK amp emulations of the Plex pedal to the Rumble Studio 40 and still use its cabinet models. I now read here that the cabs are processed with the amps and the FX loop comes in just before the XLR outs, so there isn't the option to do what I was trying to do.

Anyway, it sounds fine without any cab model and if needed, the Studio Preamp via instrument input option is there of course to access pre and post effects and the cabs.

Whilst I was experimenting, I also plugged the GK Plex into my NUX MG-30 multiFX and was able to switch off the bass amp block BUT use the cabs and IR loader there (even though the cabs are meant to be similarly wedded to the amps in the NUX MG-30).

I have no idea if doing such things gets you anywhere close to a GK amp and cab (something that would be overkill in my basement) but I'm just looking for some different and interesting low-volume practice tones.

Some useful technical info on the Mustang GT/GTX effects loop, which I presume also applies to the Rumble Studio/Stage: Mustang GTX100 effects loop question
