Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

What I am getting is latency of playback. When I watch youtube video, sound that goes from Rumble 40 is about half a second later than video on PC or cell phone.
Oh. So, how about about a 1/8" cable?
.
I think, if you want to watch video and play synchronized audio to the amp, @G-Dog’s suggestion of hard-wiring is going to be your only guaranteed solution.

Given the age of the Rumble Stage/Studio, it is likely that they are using an older version of the BlueTooth driver/codec. If this is the case, both devices will fall-back to the lowest common version level. Additionally, on a smart phone and on the amp, there isn’t really a whole lot of driver control (buffering, etc.) like there can be on a computer. So, you kinda get what you get; which can be anywhere from an “ideal” 30 ms up to 500 ms, such as you are experiencing.

If you are just playing audio to the amp with the purpose of playing along, latency is not really a problem; but, if you want to sync with video on the source device, hard-wiring offers near-light transmission speeds.

! ... ... ? ... ... uuhhh, ... mmm, ... Yeah! ... ? ... That's,... umm, ... that's just what I, uh ... was gonna say, ... you know, ... like, ... to begin with. ... Yeah, that's it. I was gonna say that very thing, that Droo said. Just like that. ... ... But, then I'm all like, "Pshaw! Right? Like, everybody knows that!" So, like, I don't gotta ax'lly say it out loud, like. Ya know? o_O

An' then, I'm, like, wonderin' ... ... You know ... I think everybody knows that? Right? ... Well, then I think maybe somebody might not know it, ya know? So, I'm just about to go write that same thing, what Droo wrote, like, just in case, when, all of a sudden like, he beats me to it, ... by just, like, a second or two! ;)

So, yeah, ... what Droopy_TX said. ^^^

(You know what they say about great minds, ... an' stuff.) :smug:

I have USB audio at last from my LT25. It seems that, by default, Windows disabled the LT25 as an input device because, well, you know, if I get a new thing it stands to reason that I wouldn't want to use it. I'm quite new to Windows, having used Macs since I was old enough to sit on my mom's chair and use her Bondi blue iMac as a tiny little dot, and the insane way that it hides critical settings from the user makes no sense to me.

Anyhooooo, here's a few seconds of my freshly minted self built jazz bass thru my LT25 into Audacity using the studio squeeze preset.

Well. Dunno why it took 'em so long, but finally got my update to the Fender Tone app version 3.1.7 on my Android phone. Much to my amazement, this update includes some info as to what changed:

• Effects swapping logic enhanced.
• Disabled sharing empty presets.
• Amp registration issue fixed.
• Numerous bug fixes and stability improvements.

I'll have to try logically swapping some effects to see how enhanced the logic is.

I must always have been swapping effects illogically; I don’t really recall an issue. ;)

Well! I see where I had Tone App version 3.1.7 over a month ago but, in the Android Play store it says that version was just updated a few days ago!! And I can't install that later "version" of this same version!!!

Anyways, this version of me is OK with whatever version of Fender Tone I've got.

Happy Fender Friday!

Jeez it never even occured to me to use voice recorder. Hold on whilst I just... oh poop. Nope. Still no worky.

Screw it. I'm buying a Focusrite. Thanks everybody for your patience and help, but I guess for recording, Windows 10 is a full cheap shizz Ryobi toolkit in a world of quality (Mac)itas.

I have no issues recording over USB to Audacity. I had an audible latency but then it got solved, dunno how.
No ASIO, no nothing. Standard W10 on ThinkPad X260
Gain was initially some challenge but it finally worked.

Well, soko, I'm glad things are working well for you. But, I wish we knew what fixed it for you?!?

Say, how about showing us a photo of your Rumble in the Fender Rumble Club and getting a free membership? You'll be glad you did, and we'd love to have you. :)

When I was in the Air Force working on fighter jets, we had a technical term for this sort of thing. It was called “FM”. The “M” stands for magic. You can substitute any appropriate F-word for the “F”. I can tell you that many avionics problems on jets were fixed by FM.

Although I have experienced it myself, I feel better believing that FM is only a thing for military aircraft and not for commercial aircraft! And don't try to change my mind! :bored:

I know I came off as flippant but when here’s an example of what really happens. I’m going to show my age here but one time we were working on an issue with the bombing system on an F-4E. We spent hours out there on it. We changed the black boxes, had the tech orders spread all over the place tracing wiring, twisted and pulled on all the connectors, etc. Since it wasn’t a safety of flight issue, we just tested it one more time (still had the issue), closed things up and went home about 3 in the morning. When we came back in the next day, we went out to the jet, fired up power and tested the system. It worked. We then proceeded to spend about 4 hours trying to break it again and never could. We never had the problem again. FM.

If it would have been a flight safety we would have spent even more time trying to duplicate it again but there comes a point when you just have to say it’s ok. Safety was VERY important to us. I’ve been out there when they’ve come out and picked up the aircraft forms off the ramp. That means the jet isn’t coming back. I experienced the loss of 4 pilots while I was in and it really hits you hard. We took it very seriously!!!

Actually it was I who was being flippant, and I apologize. Flight safety is no laughing matter whether in or out of the military. Thanks for that example.

Unfortunately, FM plays a much bigger part in my electrical and electronic troubleshooting than any other tool or talent I possess. Usually, if "jiggling things" doesn't fix it, then I'm useless! But I still prefer to believe that is not the case for trained professionals, regardless of any evidence to the contrary.

My favorite tool is the "Re-Boot". If that doesn't fix it, then its hammer time!
