Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

QUESTION: Any one on here an owner of the Fender Stage 800 WITH the Fender Rumble 210 extension cab? I am interested in getting one and would like to know your experiences with it. For example, how much of a difference does it make? Differences in tone? Etc. Thanks! -Bill

A few of us on here have both. It makes it louder than just the Stage 800 by itself so you get the full 800w if you need the volume. I don’t know if it changed any tone from what I remember without it but it pushes more air so maybe? It does look cool. I was also worried about not being able to get the matching cab later on so splurged.

I am looking to get a small amp for home. Considering the LT25 and Studio 40. I have not used either, but have a Rumble 40 v3.

Interested in some of the sounds these amps offer and don’t need that much volume.

Also considering using a looper pedal such as the Ditto.

Just wanted to get thoughts from this forum about these two Amps side by side for home use.

Welcome, Rumbler #489! Long time, no see. ;)

A. The Studio 40 has a built-in looper, which could save you getting one and help make up for the price difference from the LT25. :D

2. The Studio has a lot more connections (such as 2 FX Loops & 2 XLR Line Outs) than the LT25, in case you want to chain it together with your regular R40c. At least one Rumbler I know gigs his Studio 40 with his R40c connected for reinforcement! The Studio also has the Bluetooth connection, for using the Tone App on your phone or tablet, and wi-fi for software updates. I believe the LT25 must use a USB cable to a computer for updates, recording and Tone App, with no FX Loop nor XLR Line Out.

iii. Believe the Studio has the same 10" speaker as your R40c, but with the addition of a tweeter for high frequencies. Otherwise, it's all the same pre-amp models, presets & features as the Rumble Stage 800, just a much smaller power amp. :smug:

Checkout the LT25 manual and the Studio 40 manual (which includes the Stage 800) to see which you prefer. :)

I don't have experience with the LT25, but I have had the Studio 40 for nearly a year now. Great amp. Very flexible and capable. I've used it for smaller, quieter rehearsals. Since you have used a Rumble 40, I'd suggest the Studio 40 over the LT25, since the controls/power are similar.

Thanks, G-Dog et al!

This is some great info. I will look into this.

I have and love my Rumble 40 V3. I use it every day.

I split time between two locations and only have a Blackstar Fly 3 and amplug at the other location. I may upgrade my primary home amp to the Studio 40 and shift the rumble 40 V3 to the other location.(sell the Blackstar)

interested in the additional tones that I can get out of modeling amp. The fact that the Studio 40 has a built in looper is great. I did not know that.

I will report back on my decision.

Best

A totly new question:
Can one make FRS40 to sound like overdriven FR500?

I played FR500 in a shop with various level of overdrive and it sounded good. When I want to have the same on FRS40, I pick Rumble V3 amp, switch overdrive on and no matter how hard I try with level and blend, i hear very little effect, it's mostly clean with some little audible drive.
It isn't about weak signal, since I get strong distortion with British Colour (very poor low end sadly) or Big Fuzz.
What's your expierience on that?

Well, sok it to me, soko! ;)

Have you tried preset #5, Rumble V3 Overdrive, or preset #6, Rumble V3 Dirty? According to the detailed preset descriptions documented by @Droopy_TX in his Preset Experience sub-section of the Tone App Support section of your Rumble Club Wiki page, those are designed to sound like what you're looking for. You may need to adjust the levels of OD Drive, OD Level and/or Gain to get exactly what you want, though.

Hi everybody.
Could someone give me some good presets for Rumble Studio 40 for 6 string guitar?
(Fender Telecaster Player)
Cheers from Poland

Welcome, Rumbler #1414! :D

An easier question might be "which presets are not any good for 6 string guitar?!" With all the different kinds of music these days, there's probably some kind for every preset! ;)

Maybe you should tell us what kind of music you like to play? Classic rock, hard rock, acid rock, metal, doom, jazz, country, fusion, ... ...

The Cabinet: 2x15 D130 is a must! Try: (1) the "Bassman TV" setting with the deep switch on and adjust from there. Also, try (2) the Bassman 300 Pro (amp) with the 8x10 Pro (cab), (3) Flip-Top (amp setting) with 2x15D130 (cab), Bassman TV (amp) with 2x10 Open (cab), Super Bassman (amp) with 2x15D130 (cab), an interesting one is the Redhead (amp) with 2x15 Pro (cab), these possibilities can give you some good directions to go in.

Find your own path now...peace brother!

Man life has been busy! I purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab FE because it was on sale and green. Turns out my Studio works great with it and the interface is so much more usable on the big screen.

Anyway I got brave and made my first preset the other day. I was recording a song in the usual fashion. Which led to me thinking my amp should have a dedicated setting for electric drums. And it was a total sucsess!

So of course later I had to tweak my favorite preset "Clean Focus" and not only did I not ruin the preset, I made it sound better. It's so nice that after such a terrible start with this amp, and still keeping it on my "do not recommend" list that it's working so well for me.
