Fender Super Twin Bass Head

yep. they were a 2x12 combo and the compliment to the studio bass amp. a couple of years later, they came out with the super twin reverb, but i always preferred the ones without the reverb tank for a bass amp.
i run the rotary eq basically flat and run the bass at 6-7, mids at 6-7, and treble at 6-7 with the presence switch outWoah thats aton of bass! I've been running the bass around 4 and I'm borderline drowning in it

John, thanks for the post. I have a similar 2 15" Bassman cab in my basement that I forgot about. I traded a guitarist even for a Bandmaster cab I had. Not sure when the last time I used it.
I've been gigging with a combo so it sits in the basement. I may have to get it out again (or at least get it over to the rehearsal space).

nope. i don't really have the desire to, but i wouldn't mind trying the new 300.
I think the 100T's ability to drive the tubes at lower volumes and the being only 51lbs is appealing.

For the added cost of a power amp (a few hundred bucks), you could have all the headroom you could want.

i already have ALOT of power amps (6 of them), but IMO, that would defeat the whole purpose of having a 100T.
John i looked ionto these sorbothane pads. kinda pricey but if they really work. Are you still using this stuff and is it really worth it. 1" inch 12 x 12 pad is around $100

yes, the REALLY work. i buy 4"x4" from mcmaster-carr (8514K215) and cut it into squares to make feet out of it and it only costs $9.53 for one of those.

tried out the head only quickly. WOW tons of power/headroom. Smokes my MM hd130 head which is the closest thing to this in both volume and tone. will have to either build or buy a headcase and have it checked over. Sick volume for a guitar. What was Fender thinking????

Interesting. Doubt i will use the distortion and not sure it even works. Boost sounds interesting......plus i do like the idea of being able to turn off/on the extra EQ. is there a way to try out these without a footpedal. I will have to look over my amp as i thought these were RCA type plugs...
