FIFA World Cup 2014

Yeah. They should be proud though - they went from almost missing the World Cup entirely to minutes away from defeating one of the best teams in the world.

Ochoa is going to have clubs the world over calling him for his services.
I'm surprised Barca didn't pick him for free, rather than paying 7.2m for Bravo, especially when they're penny scraping to land bitey before their embargo kicks in.

Yeah we had an amazing tournament. We barely got in after playing like crap in the qualifiers. We surprised some people in the group stages as well. Ochoa played an amazing tournament and he's sure to get a nice well deserved contract.

We lost to who in my opinion have been the best, most consistent team of the tournament so far. And it showed again today. Yeah people will claim they never win it, they always come close but choke, but my support is 100% with Holland now! And I'm glad the deciding play was Robben cause he's an amazing player, much respect.

Wow. The Netherlands kicked the ball in the net twice and Mexico kicked the ball in once.
If only Mexico was able to kick the ball in more than the Netherlands, then they would have won. It's such a huge net. I don't know how Mexico even lost. And I don't even know why the Netherlands didn't kick the ball into the net more often. It's so easy.

ha ha
Just kidding.

Slightly off-topic, but mixing tequila with the lime-flavored Red Bull is my new favorite drink. It's like a faux-margarita that gets you jacked up, lol.

No certainly ON topic lol I think I'll try it. I'm not big on energy drinks, so didn't realize there was a lime flavored red bull. Might be what I'm looking for. Off to the next bar for the next game. Go Costa Rica, Pura Vida!

I feel really sorry for Mexico.
Now it´s third WC in a row they´ve lost in R16 (2006 and 2010 versus Argentina)

In all those 3 matches, Mexico played better than their opponents but ended up losing.
I really don´t know if it´s a matter of luck or what.

Better to win a match without controversial interference from the official I wonder whose payroll is he on. If he let them play & if it went to overtime and shoot out the outcome wouldve been acceptable.

I declare: this is an impure win for NETH.

Dear English ESPN announcers:

Stop calling "The Wave" the "Mexican Wave" to an American audience. It's wrong. I get that you first discovered it during the 86 World Cup, but it has a history long before that, and was either invented by American baseball fans or Canadian hockey fans many years prior, depending on which story you believe.

Dunno, the ref missed a penalty call (which would have been for the Netherlands) earlier in the game.

Let's go Costa Rica!
