Where does finishing below an American faux-LFC fan who missed the entire first round fall on the circles of shame?

I'm pulling for the US for 2 reasons: one, I simply like to see us win against good teams, and two, the better the US does in each World cup, and in international games, the bigger it will grow in the US.
Then, as soccer's popularity grows, we can actually harness the athletes who are now playing football (American), baseball, basketball, and hockey. Once that happens, the US should become a perennial powerhouse like Germany, Brazil, etc.
At least that's my theory. Can you guys imagine a Randy Moss as a forward? (For an example. He's really fast, tall, and can jump high. Imagine how he would fare in the corner kicks.)

Interesting theory, I've discussed at length with a friend before. Not had to imagine if 20-30 of the best NFL, or NBA players had spent their life dedicated to soccerball, they could have possibly been a lethal USMNT.

Surely could land a pair of CB's and a GK(Cushing's reactions and reflexes!) between the Texans and Seahawks, some of the top WR's had they learned to kick rather than catch could have been wingers and strikers, etc.

Is soccer/football popular among youth in your city or state it's huge in CA kids grow up playing soccer through school & college only it's slim chances for work in MLS but at least we have scholarships for collegiate soccer team sports are good for kids I don't know why anyone would discourage it certainly not make stupid racist comments as coulter did she can eat a fat turd but it's ok if butcher says something racist about foreigners in epl are the demise of England's natl team poor excuse just play better

It's played in all the high schools around here, lots of little kid leagues. The big issue is the allure of the bajillions of dollars in NFL, NBA, MLB, and (to a lesser extent) the NHL. When the MLS gets big enough to start competing dollar-for-dollar with the other sports leagues, then it will change IMHO.
And the only real way to do that is to be successful in the WC and Olympics, developing a national viewing audience, and driving the advertising revenue.
