I don't follow the Premier League. Pretty much everyone isn't good because they didn't make it onto FC Barcelona.

For the sake of the history books, I'm rooting for Colombia and Costa Rica to get to the final. Why are the history books somehow better if the same teams make it every time?
I'm a bit torn about this, tbh. I think Columbia have been great so far and Brazil have looked a little shaky in places, so if Columbia do outplay Brazil then nobody could have too many complaints. But the whole atmosphere of the tournament does rather depend on Brazil still being in it for another game or two, and it won't be the same without them. This has been a terrific World Cup so far, and for the sake of the history books.. oh, I dunno. Torn, as I said.
I think he was implying that it's better for the history books for different countries to make it.
Which is it, Bill?

Yeah, that was out of order. Hope you keep an eye on the game regardless.Well, since I know nothing about the sport, I'll just mosey away from the thread. Way to turn off a potential fan.

If an "old" power must win it, I'd rather see the Dutch take it, just since they've never quite been able to win it. Three finals, three losses.
I hope you enjoyed that comment. I thought it was funny.Holy Mother of Frontrunners

I think Colombia has the firepower to beat Brazil right away, only two things can stop them from winning: stage fright or some Nishimura´s style refereeing.
Belgium can sweep Argentina out if they manage to keep a clean sheet, Argentina is fearsome on the front, but frightening on the back. I still don´t understand how they couldn´t bring Cambiasso on the middle and Caballero as a keeper.
Does Brazil have the stuff to destory as you say phil lahm & co defense? agaist cameroon, croatia sure but not vs. a more talented & tougher mexico--but i like ochoa in goal better if they can't do it against Mex I doubt it against GER we'll seeI'll go further and say what I'd like for each of the remaining games...
Brazil to sneak past Columbia with another penalty shootout. Likewise for Germany and France, and then Brazil to destroy Germany utterly in the semi-final.
Belgium to beat Argentina in a well fought match, and Holland do the necessary with Costa Rica. After that, I wouldn't really mind who got through the SF in this half of the draw, as long as they went on win it.
The stuff of dreams...
good luckWell spotted.
