the turq is my favorate part, then the top, and the fingerboard as close seconds. can you make a tutorial of your filling method. i want to sandblast some ash to deepen the grain, and then fill it in with something like this.

i looked, but didnt see it anywhere...what finish are you using for this?
It's an oil/urethane blend by General Finishes. They market it as being similar in durability to polyurethane, but easier to apply. Basically it's a urethane varnish, unless I misunderstood something.
ok. how similar will that turn out as far as gloss compared to a clear coat lacquer? hand-rubbed, correct? excellent work too, that bass is beautiful.
How do you like the finish? Is it getting hard? I had some trouble with a spray lacquer that I got at Lowes-it stayed soft for months!
