Finally got duped on a Talkbass transaction

The problem is what if it isn't? That's the problem with "figuring out" an accusation like that . There's room for error, and the wrong person could very easily get flagged.

I understand what you mean, but it definitely is that guy. They are the last two feedbacks on each other's page. Also, the dude is in Chicago as mentioned. But yeah, if I got screwed I'd plaster the guy's name everywhere.

- you won't attempt to get the $$ back
- you won't tell us who it is.

So, why are we here exactly? Online ripoffs are hardly new occurrences.

Giving people the seller's name in private is a hideously inefficient way of preventing it happening again.

That's because lots don't read all the posts start to finish and also why outing him here publicly is a poor idea because too many want to publicly attack. Just PM and you will know who he is. Why is that so hard.

In this scenario I always thought TB wants to hear HIS side of the story first. Most of us are pretty civil although we often don't read posts properly .

I'd still like to hear from the other guy on here. It's no mystery who he is. @Floridabwoy already outed him. He's been shamed and outed and can't do anything but hide and retreat.

But, only if OP is being thoroughly honest is this really a ripoff. I can't judge as I know neither party. So, the thread continues.....

Bad dudes in the classifieds need to be exposed for what they are.

TB needs to maintain integrity and if there are bad apples, they must be exposed lest TB gets a reputation for bad deals.

Thx! But I'm far less interested in knowing who he/she is right now than I am feeling really bad you believe you've been burned. Especially here of all places. I may, however, ask you who it is next time I'm shopping here. FWIW I also tend to get Paypal involved early whenever I have a very rare problem with a seller if we can't resolve it privately and civilly first. I don't get angry. I just get my money back (or at least try to) and move on.

Hopefully you at least dropped a PM to a mod?

Yeah. I figured that too. Took half a minute using the same process you did to add two and two together. But as we both agree, it's still better naming names in situations like this one.
