Finally got duped on a Talkbass transaction

Part of the reason I joined TB is threads like this don't happen often. Are we really so gullible as to pronounce one guy guilty as charged without ever listening to his side of the story? This is like an Internet lynch mob. And I'm not taking sides or sticking up for either party. But we can't presume one is guilty simply because someone else said so.
It could be an honest mistake or flat out lie/dishonesty on either party.
OP, I suggest next time talking directly with mods first.

But you say you do this so other TB'ers can be aware... being aware on the internet and dealing online is always a gamble...even when dealing with a retailer.

Makes more sense to call out the guy in an open TB forum... that's how you'll help us fellow TB'ers to avoid dealing w him...

Thats why we have sexual predators lists at the local police dept.. so we and our children can avoid them and know who and where they are..

Imagine if the police dept. made a public statement that in your neighborhood there are sexual predators and they were telling just so you know...

So you'd be like yeah tell us something we dont know!!

Yeah you OWE the TB community the disclosure of who this guy is... that's how you can effectively help the TB community.

The person has been kinda outed already if you read the posts. I'm hoping this person will chime in and tell us his side of the story.

I guess he will never know that this thread is going unless someone contacts him first.
As far as he probably knows, the trade has two happy customers and is totally unaware of any issues.

Good to see he has been shamed, hung, drawn and quartered by a kangaroo court while oblivious to the proceedings (aledgedly since we have not heard his side)

That was it and upon closer inspection you can see where the back pickups route was enlarged to fit in a long and a short pickup.

I will let mods decide on what to do with the original seller since op had contacted (or implied to contact) them already.

Public lynching is all good until someone is found guilty by assumption. No need to attend the kangaroo court with your pitchfork just yet.
