Finally got my P Bass

Hey gang! Just want to say thanks to all who helped me decide on my p bass. Finally got it! My local guitar center had a few, a MIM Fender with a mediocre finish and this this MIA Fender. The decision was so esay. Well here it is!

Yet another Satin Honeyburst owner, congrats! Great bass, and I wish I kept mine. It's basically an American Special with a nitro finish and no Greasebucket tone control (although some do have it). The "slim C" neck shape on that model is really comfy, too.

Great choice! IMO, the Satin Honeyburst P is an awesome deal.

I really like those Am Special necks, too. In fact, I like them so much that I swapped out the fancy compound-radius neck on my Am Vintage Hot Rod P, and I changed my avatar pic.

very nice looking P, but why oh why does Fender think white pickguards look nice? First thing I did with my Jazz was to change it for a tort.

White is usually the default color for a lot of manufacturers. I think they consider it neutral. Lakland Skyline, G&L (if you just went with a stock bass) all use white too.

Wow - never cared for the look of these basses until I saw yours with a tort guard. Beautiful.

Not a huge P fan, but I must admit, that's a good lucking bass. Like the tort guard better on the honey finish too.

Somehow, the tortoise shell pickguard is like magik eye candy... it seems like any Fender bass just looks better with a tortoise shell pickguard. I'm particularly fond of how it looks, in contrast with a maple fingerboard.
