Finally got my P Bass

I agree. I wish tort was standard.

Well apparently tort pickguards cost a bit more than a standard white or black pickguard, but considering some of us pay at least 800 or more on a brand new spanking bass, we deserve to have a tort on it and not a white one.

Only time I'll accept white pickguards is on a white or black bass.

Though, midnight wine red and black is a very good combo too.

I love my Honeyburst P!

I went with a black guard, to me it gives it a retro 1970's vibe. I used black pickguard screws just to make it a tad different.

I'm sorry for the lousy I phone pic, but it gives you the idea.

Great choice! IMO, the Satin Honeyburst P is an awesome deal.

I really like those Am Special necks, too. In fact, I like them so much that I swapped out the fancy compound-radius neck on my Am Vintage Hot Rod P, and I changed my avatar pic.

I love this photo! Not just because they are awesome looking basses. Is it just me, or should those basses have lit cigarettes wedged in their tuners? They look like they just got done doing something on the bed we shouldn't know about!
