Firefox Bass from Ark Instruments

Does anybody else see a marked resemblance to a Kubicki Factor, or did I just listen to too much Stu Hamm in the 80's???

Yes, I do all kinds of basses but am leaning more towards my extended range headless designs lately since they are even more unique and help me stand out in the sea of exotic basses..

My website is unfinished and hopefully this weekend I can do more work on it..

That looks fantastic!

Very unique without being weird. :)

If I were to be overly critical I would say that the transition between the square centre area of the body could flow better with the neck. I do have a suspicion that there is a technical reason for that particular design, though.

I tend to be a traditionalist when it comes to bass designs. The Pbass is my instrument of choice. But I have to admit, I find this design very attractive, although definitely different and futuristic. Am I the only one that's been checking out this bass? Dare I say, "This is the bass BMW should have designed?

Sweet I love the futurist design :)

I love this design. My one gripe is the 5th string being longer than the others at the head. I'm sure there is a technical reason for it but there has to be a way around that. You can't design something like this with such an emphasis on the visuals and leave that like it is. Where there's the will there's a way.

I think you're right. The right side of that rectangle should have curves that match the rest of the design so it flows into the end of the neck..

Ha ha. Why do I have a suspicion this is my ExFactor? :smug:
It was the best picture on the 'net I could find, so I figured it HAD to be a TB'er's!

Back in the day (late 80's-early 90's), the Home Town Music Store had one that looked EXACTLY like that (color, the whole deal), and I just craved that bass. Since I was "that dreadful punkrock kid", the store owner would NEVER let me try it out!

But it DID inspire me to try DADG tuning!

Kinda wish I had the coin back then. Sigh...
