First Act Bass...let the flame fest begin..

Doubt I'd drop $2k on one though...

To each their own, but they're still great instruments. I've known of people dropping $5000-7000 on custom shop Fenders and Gibsons, but I myself wouldn't in a million years do that.

There are two First Act customs in existence that I wish they'd put on the website because of how cool they are: Paul Barker's Burns-inspired bass with a built in B:Assmaster, and Takeshi from Boris' Ric-inspired double neck (although I'm quite sure I know why that's not up).

Personally I'd rather be a great bassist playing a a low end instrument that a low end bassist playing a great instrument. I currently own two MIA Fenders and an Stingray. Guess which of those two categories I fall under.

If the First Act works for you, then by all means use it!

If you could post sounds clips I'd be curious how it sounds. I'd also be curious to see what happens if you posted those clips and ask people to identify the bass. I love how so few of the people who say they can EASILY pick out whatever the test is designed to test can actually back up their claim with correct answers.
