Thanks for the comments
You hit some good points sundaybender, for me doesnt make sense spend 600 in expensive woods and parts to make a lame first instrument.
I find the first build a great oportunity to LEARN, more than make a custom "look at me bass":
Make a design
select wood
Find dealers for all the stuff
work with tools
wood behaviour
put the parts together
make a neck
make a fingerboard
work with router
make some inlay
finish a piece of wood
etc
BTW
My GF recorded some stuff last thursday, not the best quality but you can see it works
.
Apologies for bad playing, I made a gig with DB same afternoon, no rehersal just run to the place, plug and gig with real book in front
solo at 6:00:
I promise show you some decent audio
Thanks everybody!

Very nice!
I really like the overall design and attention to detail - not overly complex, or fancy, but with enough attention to detail to show that the bass was made by someone who cares.
Things like the neck volute, neck heel, and the recessed tuning machines show high quality work, without screaming out "Look at me! I am a custom bass!" Very nicely done.
Looks like the perfect workhorse - all the things you need, and none of the things you don't, in a good looking package. I dig it!
Overall I think you should be very proud - I can't wait to hear clips.
