Lookin' good!
Just a tip when gluing up the tops, stay with bar clamps that screw down instead of the ones with those triggers (they don't give you enough pressure). My first-ever top I used the trigger clamps, and I had a real obvious glue line.
Better yet, get ya some cabinet clamps. I think they are essential for getting a tight joint on thicker stock.

they have twist downs on the end!
there not just squeeze clams (combos)

take a look at the pic, you'll see the screw (nevermind its out of the pic!)
I got the tightest glue line possible, just like the body not a 64th anywhere along the line!
I'll take photos of the glue line tomorrow when I glue up the neck

i found the glue line! i think...I think I am going to try a scarf joint!
I dont think that'll be the hard part, I've been practicing glueing things.
I just glued up a 3/16" top of a cheaper marbled claro top I had from way back
I am going to start another body I just havnt figured out what I want to do
I am thinking about switching the back to the front(the bubinga because I didnt know it would look that cool
and putting that walnut on the back using holly veneers only.
and
using that cool myrtle on a water stained curly korina body I have that I'll never be able to get a good price on.
the white of the korina with sapele and wenge accents with the green myrtle on top. maybe another underrated thinner top- (back) from last years tops???
I think the hardest part will be the aligning of the neck and its placement for scale.
but again I dont think that'll be that hard.

IMO, I wouldn`t waste the buckeye burl on the back, unless it`s less than stunning figure. But then again, don`t have all the nice wood chioces you have laying around your shop. But I would go for the chestnut on the back.

I did mock up some warwick based shapes at the beginning of this thread but have changed my mind so many times who knows anymore!
anyways I have the template cut and Its a cross between the stambaugh bass I designed and my fortress MM
I will get pics
soon!

umm, your wood selections are great, but I wouldn't have used thinner laminates on the edges of your neck blank. The issue here is that when you start the taper these will disappear towards the nut side of the neck, and this, IMO, looks like careless planning ...of course, this look may have been your intention.

So 3 more inches to be added to the neck? 1.5 of Wenge on each side. That's pretty wide, wouldn't you say?
I do think the Holly stringers on the outside would make for an interesting effect once everything's tapered down. Sort of like a horizontal V.
