Fishing Club?

This is my pride and joy. Fall steelhead out of the Pere Marquette river in Michigan fly fishing with a caddis.

At the Wisconsin lake where my brother and I frequently fish, the largemouth bass are so plentiful that it won't put a dent in the population to eat them. Still, we usually practice catch and release on bass and northern pike and only eat the regular panfish but there are plenty of people who do eat any legal size bass they catch (14+").

The lake has no public landing access and the only way to fish there is to portage a boat through the woods and down a steep hill and this explains why there are so many bass - it isn't over-fished like other lakes in the area.

I live in Chicago and bass fish around the midwest. Catching largemouth is pretty commonplace and I've honestly never seen a person bring one home to eat it - or any bass for that matter. My friends and I really seek the smallies - largemouth can be pulled out of any neighborhood pond with relative ease.

Love my fishing. Since I am bandless now more time in to do it. In fact I might stay out of music to get into my fishing like the old days. I mainly am a bass fisherman... my user name has both bass the fish and the bass.
I fish tournaments getting ready to start this month. Here's a good one of a few from last week.

Just got back from a four day fly into northern Quebec. Ice out was May 24 and we got there on May 30th. Water temps were in the low 40's which can make fishing a little tough.
We had only one afternoon where the sun came out so we hit the back bays for Pike, hoping to find some sunning in the shallows.
Well, they were there! Took advantage of the short window and managed to get this one in 1 1/2 ft of water. When a 40 inch Pike decides to take in such short water, it's like top water bass fishing! What a panic!
