They need to put a damn Guitar Center or Sam Ash in Melbourne/Palm Bay. There is not a decent guitar store around here anymore. It's really a joke and if you're looking for bass gear it's pretty much non-existant.

Bass gear stinks in Jax at the big box stores, but I find gems all the time at indie shops and pawnbrokers. However, you are an hour closer to Orlando (Bass Central) than I am...

Yep. Bass Central is always well worth the ride. Would be nice to be able to hit a decently stocked store around here though.

Let's try and revive this, I'm just gettin in to the scene here so I'm not really too experienced but me and my buddies just played a bit at a jam night at Lou's Blues and I think it went well, I got the chance to meet some more local musicians as well

Is that the thing they do there on Monday night? Love that stage at Lou's.
Were playing at Siggy's Saturday night for the 2nd Sigfest. They have us going on last at 12:30. Called it "headlining". I think they just wanted some suckers to go on last! LOL!
Seriously though, come by if you can it's a great event. They have bands all day from 2:00 on. Last year the place was packed from start to finish. It's a benefit for three separate charities. If you are wanting to meet up with other local musicians this will be the place to be this weekend.

Fort Lauderdale here. My main rock/metal band Sorus has gigs coming up in Jensen Beach (Oceanside Pub, Feb. 28), Fort Lauderdale (Archie's West, March 7 and Poorhouse, March 14), and Vero Beach (The Stamp, April 4), if anyone wants to hang.

Im playing mostly for churches and youth events, so mainly Contemporary Christian and Gospel genres. But i dabble in Funk, Blues, some Rock, and a bit of Jazz.
