This as a six and with less knobs and switches (no midi) would be a dream bass. I can only imagine the cost.....

Matt did say that it will be on his next album. I can't wait to hear both the bass and what Matt has in store next musically.

i hoping for an album full of reworked whitney houston classics. i will always love you, saving all my love for you.... i can see it now

Thanks! Actually we put it through exactly the same process that we use for Certified Preowned instruments. For this one, we completely scraped off the old finish, sanded the entire instrument down to bare wood, refinished it and replaced everything -- shielding, parts, electronics...everything. I love this process because to me, it is the very best of both worlds...a new finish, state-of-the-art electronics and wood that has been seasoned through playing...the result is an instrument that looks like new but sounds vintage. YUM!

While we had all of the finish off, Vinny reshaped the neck...it was a little bit on the chunky side, it is now thin and super fast feeling!

The hardest part of this process by far is all of the stripping and sanding. There is a huge amount of labor involved...but the finished process is well-worth it. Additionally, we actually have ample capacity in the shop to do this kind of work because it generally does not involve either Vadym or Vinny...Joey, Rob and I can handle the vast majority of it...

I am speechless at how pretty my former Emperor 5er looks after a complete restoration! Just awesome...

Thi has the most Beautiful outline!
Someone say that there is upcharge, and the others say there is no upcharge..
Jason, What is true? :) Please let me know!!

Thanks a lot :)

This shape is actually a slightly modified Matt Garrison Imperial with an ever so slightly rounded upper horn...for a change this minimal there would be no additional charge (unless there are other significant alterations not immediately apparent in the photo).

That is definitely part of the plan. We have made some stop-gap revisions to the site to hold things over while we do a complete revamp. By way of example, today a rudimentary online store went back into operation and some of the out of date information has been corrected. The next three months will see MAJOR changes. Cheers!

Any chance on having gallery of the finished bass?? :D

We love Fodera eyes candy!! :bassist:

Hello everyone! I have read the new Fodera price list and I have a question, cos' probably you guys know more than I do :D.
As far as I know, all of the Fodera basses are custom basses, right? So, does it possible to order a V.W. yin-yang bass in left handed?
lefty upcharge: fee+15% (only for custom basses) if Im not right, then sorry :)

Peace!

Yes, you can order any bass in any scale length with any number of strings lefty or righty...unfortunately (if you are a lefty), there is a 15% upcharge for lefty. My wife and son are both lefty's and they HATE that policy, but it really does take a LONG time to flip everything around when building them!

Cheers.
