well, that's better than being in leather about it...
I don't. There is something different about the NYC body shape. It is more like a larger traditional jazz bass IMO. I think the Emperor's are much more sexy and detailed if you will. That was my initial thought/fear at first, but under close analysis, they are very different in shape.
Man yesterday I've had gig, I remember that during one song I was thinking about new standard... Why do you do this to us Jason!??!?!!

Interesting that they have a string tree. Looks like the headstock is straight? That was Leo's trick for getting more necks out of less wood.

my guess is double cut away. too much extra work with the single cut. 5 string 34" emporer with bolt on neck????
