I have to remember this when I complain about Boston...especially since I'm heading out to see Sean Wayland, Tim Miller and Mark Guiliana in a half hour in a tiny little club....Yes!

Andrew, YES you do... Back in 2000, after 22 years of living up in Beantown I moved to ATL, I was devastated not having my fav's (Scullers/Ryles/Wally's/Regatta/Willow) around... But I got by... Moving to KY 2 years ago, I feel like I'm in no-man's land.

I was just talking to Mike about playing at the Jazz Kitchen in Indy a few hours ago.

I'll make the trek to Indy!

Would be quite interesting to see pic of all basses made for him.
Including the one I read was "number 11" but didn't quite do it for him and was then sold in japan.
(I think I read it somewhere, but am not 100% sure.)

There is a Yahoo group that has a fair amount of pics of AJ's basses from over the years... Would like to see if any one has the time to do a montage of them all in one pdf or jpeg.

I grew up in Boston and then moved to PA in my 30's and boy that was culture shock to say the least when it came to the music scene.

I sure do miss Scullers, Ryles, The Regatta Bar, Johny D's, Berklee that place on Main Street in Cambridge (that I can't remember the name of for the life of me...) and all the others...!

Now I'm depressed! HA!

Oh well...

I saw Steve Smith & Jazz Legacy there a couple years ago and it was great. Very cool venue.

The two Buckeye MG is the newborn section are very cool. Are they 19 mm? Could that be a thing to add the specs?

When are you using Maple or Alder with walnut bodies? Does that depends on the neck wood?
