. I agree with you though, it looks fantastic. Don't think I've seen a "no frills" fodera before. Though I suppose pickup covers and a exotic pickguard doesn't exactly qualify it for the "no frills" distinction, lol.

gotta concur with this. mine look pretty "vanilla" (actually, not a fan of the burls and so forth . . . oops) and sound fab.

. The guy in the onesy is actually pretty good sure there are better players out there but the guy can play and I'm sure he enjoys that fine piece of wood

There is a lot of tradition behind what he is doing in this video. Not many basses could get that tone that he needs for this kind of music.
By the way, if that is actually an AJ presentation it is worth a lot more than 10k....

I saw that there is an option for a wooden truss rod cover on the price list. Does anybody know of any Foderas with that option? I haven't seen an example of that before.

Does anybody know anything about the fodera Marcus Miller is playing on this video? I didn't know that he had a Fodera back then. Does he still have it?

Yes sir, he's playing a presentation (bartolini pickup). Yup, 20K or24K for the titanium bridge and trussrod option.

I honestly cannot remember whether they were both 19.0 mm spacing or if one was 19.0 and the other 17.5 mm. We have been working on 4 Garrisons at the same time and they do blend together a little. LOL.
In terms of adding the spacing to the Newborn specs. Let me think about that.
For the Tone Block, it really depends on what the player we are building for desires...a "true" Garrison would have an Alder Tone Block because of the tone woods that we use for that part, Alder tends to be the closest to Chestnut (Matt's Tone Block material) from a sound standpoint. Maple would slightly brighten the overall tone (and make the bass +/- 1/2 pound heavier).

The photo was just taken in the shop yesterday. We just finished putting the bass through the Certified Pre-Owned process. The pickguard is actually completely handmade from Maple Burl...pup covers are Brazilian Rosewood...
