Like I intimated, I deeply regret my comment wich I did before. I only saw this one video by Mr. Makoto in wich I couldn't find musicality (IMHO). I didn't want to abuse anyone or even be racialistic.
I took time out and watched the other videos of him and as I said, among these there weren't any wich appeared immusical to me, so please excuse my glib comment.
I agree with you all, Mr. Makotos way of playing is awesome (especially this video up here) and his bass is stunning as well (although not the cheapest).

No snide remarks intended. We are all here to share in our admiration of Fodera basses and to post information that is of interest to fellow forum members. It's great place to have a few laughs too.

We may not agree on musical tastes or the latest youtube vid to get linked but I think it's unanimous in that we all agree on what comes out of the Brooklyn shop: IMHO, the finest bass guitars period.

Fodera: Makers of the World's Finest Bass Guitars

Although I still believe it is very much true...perhaps more than ever...not sure me saying it carries much weight anymore. LOL. I guess I have become irreversibly biased...

Dave, on a morning like this when I am crawling out of bed at 4:00 am to get into the shop before 6:30 so that we can get everyone's basses out as close to on time as possible, comments like this make me smile and reaffirm why working as Joey and Vinny's partner is such a gift. Cheers to all of you who have expressed similar feelings here. It means a lot.

I think that "makers of the worlds finest bass guitars" is a bit of a dangerous one with luthiers out there that are working at the same level of quality and workmanship as fodera does.

A bit of an understated title may sound more elegant and won't come across as arrogant or "fan-boyish" (for lack of a better word), which may be the case with the title suggested (unless,of course, "AFAIK" or "IMHO" is added :) ).

Maybe just "Fodera",written in the font used by them, on the instruments and a sub heading with something like "solid body electric basses and guitars since...." ?

Biased, maybe. But I share your belief that it is true, in fact. There are guys out there making great stuff, for sure. But when EVERY instrument comes out as good as Foderas do, it tells you that someone really knows what they're doing. Some are better than others, but they are all world class and fall into the category of "special" IMO.

I think it is a very fair statement to say that Foderas are ARGUABLY the best bass guitars made, period. For me there's no argument, actually. Fortunately I don't have to support that opinion with anything but my belief.

Gotta love that "subjectivity" stuff :D

It takes a lot of guts to admit something like this publically.....

I'm sure you're not the only one it makes a bit of a difference to.
