Fodera Club Part V

I think that "makers of the worlds finest bass guitars" is a bit of a dangerous one with luthiers out there that are working at the same level of quality and workmanship as fodera does.

Personally I believe Fodera does make the finest bass guitars in the world. If they believe it, and can back it up legally, I think they should say it.

If memory serves, some years back a legal challenge by Target forced a slogan change by Walmart.

Generally speaking, it's usually NOT a good thing to have the publicity buzzing that a court has ruled you don't always have the lowest prices like you've been claiming.

Besides, trying too hard to convince someone of something can inadvertently infer that this thing couldn't stand on its own merits.

With Fodera's impressive list of endorsers and players, it could easily get by with something like:

"When the best want the best, they reach for their Fodera."

This all started with a discussion of book titles.
Okay, now that I've found where I missed that, the discussion makes much more sense to me.

Book title ideas? I don't know.
  • Flight of the Butterfly: The Fodera Story
  • Fodera: From our hands to yours
  • The Hand Made's Tale
(The "Handmaid's Tale" is an acclaimed Margaret Atwood novel).

And the title I mentioned was my working title (not ever intended for publication), BEFORE I was a partner here...that is why I added the "LOL."

Here is one thing that I can say with 100% certainty now that I am a partner...we try every to day to make the finest bass guitars that we are capable of making...
