Fodera Club Part VII

I have a Pop Neo-Soul recording looming and I wanted to go for a slightly more old school tone on a few of the tracks.

So, I'm experimenting with some Labella flatwounds and a 'BassMute.' So far I'm really happy with the sounds and am having alot of fun with the mute:

Folks --

If you have any questions about Fodera that relate to something not appropriate for the public forum, please email me directly at:

[email protected]

I do NOT use the PM system on TalkBass as a means of answering customer questions, okay? Thanks for your help with this...it will assure a more thorough and timely response...

Kindest regards,

Jason

Jason, did u get my PM?

That's just wrong. The eBayer even says its a Fodera, straight up jail time if you ask me.

It says it's a copy.

It does say that it is the same specs as a yin-yang, which is not even close to true on the electronics (to say the least).

I like how the ebayer didn't know if his shipping quote was correct or not....

Yeah, u're right:

Custom made Fodera Yin Yang bass copy. The body is ash. The neck is maple with purpleheart .The bridge is solid bell brass and has excellent clarity and sustain. This was made with the same specs as the Yin Yang. The pickup covers are made of ash.The pickup themselves are Nordstrand Big Singles. There is a two band Sadowsky preamp. The neck is 24 frets with a mother of pearl inlay around the 24th fret. The finish is a custom black dye/tint with gold leaf on the body and headstock as well as on the pickup covers. There is a cost for shipping that is listed and I believe it's incorrect.Additional information available upon request.

But it still just feels wrong.

I'm finally joining the club myself. I just put a depost down on Yin Yang #35 over at Bass Central. They were super nice to me. They even let me put a hold on a deposit, which I thought was very cool of them. I had to sell my Modulus to pay for the down payment and I was a little scared they would sell it while the money was in the no man's land between paypal and my bank account.

I've been wanting a Fodera for years and years now and these new standards really make it possible for people like me to be able to afford them.

I'm super stoked!

Congrats! There is one on ebay if you don't want to wait for your standard,.... ;):hiding:
