While we're piling on, you also neglected muffler bearing wear, flux capacitor polarity spikes, and phase of the moon, which is inversely proportional to the amount of WIN (Werewolf Index Number) used in the calculation.

The TB Minions - we sweat the details so you don't have to...

But you forget that the best PUPS are made from pure silver, which counteracts the WIN! Then you don't have worry about moon phase...

How's the tone?

Jason, that looks interesting. I'm curious as to how many you've made and it's sound profile. I'd expect to see some nice deep, fluid fundamentals.

It's a little fat in the mids and lean in the low end. I am not crazy about the way the neck feels either...

Some Monarch 4's we build with one-piece bodies and EVERY E5S in the first run of 60 will have a one-piece Ash body, so yeah, we do them and we love them. If we could reliably source wood that was wide enough we would build every Dovetail and Bolt-on with a one-piece body. It is one less glue joint and one less step in the build process. Unfortunately tress are getting harvested earlier and earlier (i.e. smaller and smaller) and that makes it hard to get wide enough quality material with which to work...

I guess I appreciate the physics lessons, and I do feel smarter now. But since I don't have any idea how to get my hands on a 33" scale Fodera here in Kansas and with 4 kids I have no travel plans.

Are there any videos out there of people using these for something outside of solo work. I would really love to see various styles played on the instrument.

bassictraining - you might be in luck. I have a couple of the Matt Garrison Standard 5's on order - shoot me your info, and when they come in, we can try and meet up! With 4 kids, you might not be able to afford it, but it'll be fun playing it!
