Hey guys, I saw an Anthony Jackson double cut 5 string the other day with a lovely dark ebony top.
I'd never seen a model called an AJ before with a double cut & I think I've only seen 6's previously. I'm sure it's been covered somewhere else before but I didn't find what I was looking for with a quick search.
I'm sure someone here will know a little history (or can give me a link to a previous thread) on the AH5 double cut and about the transition to the current single cut 6

Yes, no matter the electronics settings or the pickups positions the bass definitely will tell on you.
I have to say, the Fodera truss rod system is really great. Such a great idea. I had a truss rod break, well the top sheared off while I was adjusting it(I was young and didn't know what I was doing), and the manufacturer said they would have to grind off the fretboard to replace it.
Fodera's design limits the possibility of having to do that if something as horrible that would happen.
What are your thoughts about other innovations Fodera has developed?

I have always been fond of the neck joints on fodera basses. I know it isn't exactly an innovation, but to me there isn't a body design that they do that is less than elegant aesthetically.
Wow! I've never seen an ash top like this before! I'm really curious about the wood combo too (walnut bod, ash tone block, asian ebony FB).

Yes, indeed! And its amazing! I hardly even think about its looks, because it plays and sounds so good...really a spectacular build. The Monarch shape is so comfortable...I really needed to go back to 34", and every detail came out perfect. Thx to the gang in Brooklyn!

Since I just got the new Bass Player, and read the Fodera review (great, as we would only expect!) I was wondering if anyone has a copy, electronic, of the Holiday issue of the Fodera "Meet Your Maker" article. That issue was just before I restarted my Bass Player subscription, and I've not seen that article. Would be really appreciative if someone has a copy, scanned or otherwise. Thanks in advance.

I'm sure they gave it a special place where it can lay on a big and fluffy pillow surrounded by candles and aromatic chopsticks
also it has it's own stereo system where it can listen to classic music the whole day
Speaking of that YYD5, you don't often see a korina body on a Fodera. Jason, how would you compare korina to the woods that Fodera more commonly uses for their bodies?
