I know that all of you have been asking for a family snapshot and I STILL have not gotten around to it, so I figured that I would show you as many as I can that are in the Newborn Section. The only two missing are the 1984 Shedua topped one and a 1986 Zebrawood. I will eventually bring them to the shop and have photos taken...

That's if you go direct through Fodera. Dealers often build slots that can be purchased and the specs changed that are sooner.

I ordered a bass last month that will be done in July.

Yep , it would be the thing to do , anyways later on , but I still dreaming of having one , When I bought years ago a secondhand pre Gibson Tobias Basic 6 , the guy that sold it to me had a Fodera Anthony Jackson 6 bass , it was like 15 years ago , I guess if not more , & it still in my head , can t get it out !lol , one day maybe

I find it very comfortable to wait that long - I'm in month 7 now - and the best thing is that "hey, I have a Fodera on order" feeling

I think 16 months sounds about average.
Have a look at other companies building by hand and at this quality point and you might see they estimate similar lead times.

Just to be clear, we do NOT have a lot of Ebony that is large enough to do tops with...getting quality Ebony in those widths is becoming very hard...

That's one we were all checking out last week from the Polish guy! Sounds great in those clips. Someone needs to buy that NOW.

We have worked incredibly hard to bring ours down from 27 months when we first became partners back in 10/2009 to our present 15-16 months. Our goal is to continue chipping away at it until it gets to roughly one year. That is a level that we are comfortable with and will not rest until we get there...

Please keep in mind that we have been able to do this with an INCREASING number of orders which makes us doubly proud!!

and i believe that zon also has a considerable build time . . . possibly in tune with the "old" fodera.

(this is from what i've read. someone else might have more personal knowledge of this.)
