Hou,

What instrument is that? Perhaps I'm blind, but I don't think I see it in the Newborns section. Perhaps a much older bass? Yours? It's absolutely stunning in a very classy, understated way.:p I love contrast (dark/light) but I also love the melding of similar color tones like this one. Just beautiful!

While I've had the pleasure (and the agony) of waiting the last few weeks for a Fodera bass (for my Yin Yang), I've not previously waited a whole 18 months for a custom build like I am now (I bought the Yin Yang from a dealer when there was only 6 weeks left in its build time). My new Imperial was ordered in December 2011, and I'm looking at, maybe, the week of May 6 for it to be heading to my house. I'm going crazy waiting! My Yin Yang is getting even more play time than usual, as it's getting excited waiting for its playmate! It can't wait patiently, either!

How do you guys keep yourselves from jumping off the ceiling while waiting?? Nostatic, I know you have 2 new ones in the queuel...are they both going to be done at the same time? How will you ever figure out which one to play with first when they arrive on your doorstep?

My solution is simple.... Order your custom Fodera without having the $$$ on hand to pay for it.:p

The clock is ticking and I have approx 10 months to save up to pay for the outstanding balance on my Monarch 5.:bassist:

Ah, so your solution, instead of agonizing over the wait, is to make the time go by faster because you're scared sh*tless that you won't have enough money, or time to save, to pay for it! Good thinkin'!!!!

Unfortunately, I couldn't do it. I have never bought anything I couldn't pay cash for, except for houses, and then only in a few cases for those. It goes against my nature!

I said "cash on hand" and my post was not obviously intended to be serious.

but... I don't keep enough $$$ to fund a Fodera under my pillow... and definitely not for 12-13 months.

Not having the money isn't a worry. Although waiting over a year for a custom build does make it almost painless (even for a Fodera) if one is able to budget accordingly. Borrowing to finance anything other than my house is not something I do... a bass definitely not.

I knew you weren't serious, and my response was supposed to be light hearted as well... Just so we're perfectly clear! My response was supposed to be funny. That's one thing I hate about e-mail and forums...words can so easily be misinterpreted! I never want anyone to take my comments as being critical or anything other than humorous, in situations like this. PLEASE accept my humble apologies if I came across as a jerk, which upon rereading, it certainly could have sounded like... :hmm:

They likely will be done around the same time. I'll find the time to give them both a shakedown. I've been biding my time by gigging the snot out of the YYD. When the new ones show up they'll head out to gigs as soon as they're here.

Not at all. Absolutely no harm done. :)

P.s. can you lend me few bucks in March 2014?:p:D

Not mine! I's cool looking. I saw that bass at bass Atlanta webpage few years ago
