Ohhhhhh.... One of the Monarch Trio.:hyper: beautiful!

You might be weirded out to know that I listened to sound clips of your bass a lot.:help: Not a bass stalker or anything, but trying to decide on a bolt on vs. dovetail config on my recently ordered Monarch 5.:D

Congrats!

lol, I listen those clips a lot of times prior getting it, I was undecided witch one to get, either the Deluxe or the bolt-on, as you can see the bolt-on won. I am amazed how this bass sound, unbelievable tone.

AWESOME! I am so thrilled that you have one of those Monarchs!!!!

Enjoy.

this ebony top is cool,Jason,is it Garbon ebony?

It is stunningly beautiful, but I have to wonder how much weight even that thin veneer on the body adds to the bass. I have just been talking to Jason about a new bass (yes, a third one) that may have an ebony fretboard AND an ebony face on the headstock (something I've never seen on a Fodera, at least on a bass that didn't have ebony as the top wood, which mine won't have)...but I'm guess the weight THAT might add would be pretty small.

strangely, they did that for a while in the late 80s/early 90s. maple top with ebony headstock. i have on from 88 and i had a matching made in 95 or so. i've seen others out there as well. for instance, this one here (not mine; probably from 86/87 or so).

Ah, very cool, steubig, a Fodera history lesson! :p WWWAAAYYYYY before my time as Fodera guy, glad you updated me (and others) on what Fodera has done in the past. Thanks.

If I go through with the planned bass, maybe I'll be the first to do an ebony headstock in the recent era!

Congrat's I was stalking those basses for awhile, as well as the Imperial you just sold since I live just up the road from you=). Were you looking for a different tone than the Imperial?
