So here is the deal with Tours...we do not give them as a matter of policy, whether it is more because of significant time constraints or the dangers involved with being in a very small, active wood shop should be immaterial. That said, for current owners and prospective owners we definitely allow a limited number of shop visits as long as they are scheduled in advance and we have the time available.

Remember, we have zero personnel dedicated to this kind of thing. It's one thing when someone visits to spec a bass, ask questions about building an instrument or come in for service -- that is very much a part of all of our daily functions, but to just walk people through the shop as a tour guide...we just do not have that kind of time. A big part of me wishes that we did have time to do more of that, but part of me is grateful that we don't...

Very well put Jason. I think people might have a bit of a misconstrued perspective about the size of the shop due to the fact that so many big names are affiliated with Fodera. The fact is, people need to respect policy, not fight them. That being said thanks for being such an accommodating and wonderful company!

Just to add, there are at least 3 videos of the shop posted on YouTube. I know it's not the same, but you still get that amazing family vibe and perspective how small and incredible the shop is. Janek posted one, Donovan from TheFretSpot.com posted one and there's a link on the Fodera website that film students made. If you haven't checked them out, please do. They are wonderful to watch.

..and what's left is TRUE LOVE!
I received MGS #7 six months ago and now I feel I can say that this bass is here to stay forever. Never experienced an instrument like this and I've owned some nice ones... Nothing compares. No game.
I should also say that this bass is going to represent a milestone in my playing: from the very first moment I got it I felt an urge to grab it and playing. It literally fills me with a strong desire to study, practicing, playing. Since that glorious day the Fedex man knocked at my door I started practicing like mad on a daily basis. :bassist:
I recently joined the Tony Grey Bass Academy and it really opened a new world for me. It's a very ambitious educational project created by the top-notch player (and really nice, down-to-earth guy) that we all know. Just one month in the Academy has done wonders for my playing and I can't even imagine the benefits I could have at the end of the year.
Can't recommend it enough!
