What the??? I don't think the Fodera Club qualifies on that one!is that the hee man woman haters club??![]()
I was wondering what are the best amp/cabinets for fodera basses in peoples humble opinions?
I have been looking at Glockenklang, Thunderfunk, and Walter Woods recently, but would love to get some insight from other people. I play a lot of funk and jazz. Lots of slapping and tapping.
I remember seeing some references earlier in this thread to some youtube videos that provided really good side by side tonal comparisons of some different Fodera wood combinations. Can anyone point me to them?

Anthony Wellington names my bass.
My student, Sandy Winnerman, just picked up this badass Fodera Emperor II that they showed at NAMM. Holly is one of my favorite woods. I like that this wood is so white that it looks painted. But it's not! That's all wood!!!
Sandy's bass is definitely a STAR and I think I have the perfect name for his bass,...
Hollywood!!!

Had a strange but fitting comment on my new Monarch from a keys player that has been around for many years....
"Your bass doesn't really sound like anything.... It sounds like everything". He couldn't believe how well the highs cut as well.
He thought it did a P, a Jazz and basically everything else extremely well.
Enough of my blabbing about my new bass, but thought that was kinda cool.![]()

What is a Fodera Edwards?

A few days ago, when I announced that I made a deposit and yelled out my specs like a a teenage girl who was in love and just didn't care who knew it, Mark (docbass) extended an extremely generous offer to me. He instantly provided me with his number and offered to chat about my build, because it dawned on him that the bass I was spec'ing out is nearly identical to his. He enthusiastically told me to call whenever worked for me so we could talk about the bass and I could ask questions.
I spoke with him today and he was so enthusiastic, genuine and helpful. He told me about how he came to own his current Monarch (which is a really cool story!) and raved bout the bass. Told me stories about other bassists, who were otherwise loyal to other boutique brands, great impressions of it, and over all, just got me extremely excited and confident I made the right decision to go with Fodera. He even said I should come to his house and play it, offered me a couch to sleep on! I was dumfounded and froze up because of how incredibly generous this offer was. I still am.
As a result, I couldn't let him lending me his time and his generous invitation go unrecognized. Thought he deserved another thank you and some recognition. Thanks Docbass!
a bass he's been listing up there for a number of years.
I wonder what the bass looks like under all that paint ?
