Congrats! That sounds like an incredibly nice instrument to play. I've become more present to ergonomics in the past year. I can't wait to have a 17.5mm bass again and I am absolutely ecstatic I found the Monarch body style, nice and compact, but still with great balance.

Nice pic, I can't view most of the pic's on my works PC, the firm does a good job of blocking and filtering all the naughty stuff as well as the good. I remember following the build thread for the "Doods" Shuker bass, I wonder what were Joey's thoughts??

I can only echo the sentiments already expressed. The food was fabulous. We ate Indian (with Dave Swift) one night, exceptional Chinese one night and at a really cool Mediterranean fusion restaurant named Nopi. London was glorious. I got to do some fantastic runs in Kensington Gardens / Hyde Park and we saw the sun every day!

I am a huge Foodie, and there is no question in my mind that the scene in London is exceptional in that regard!

Did you eat any English food? We had some superb ethnic meals while there a couple years ago. I have to admit that I got some decent fish and chips at the Tower, though.

One thing that's great about Fodera is that you don't have to listen to excuses why your bass is going to be late. Both of mine were delivered exactly when promised (actually a little early on one), and that's been the case of all the ones I'm aware of at BSD.

Mine was later than originally planned, but I was informed well in advance of it, and the revised date was met without a problem.

Fodera has made huge leaps and bounds in this area from years past where they got a lot of black eyes for having schedule problems. I believe Jason played a big, maybe the biggest, role in this, and for that, I applaud him and Fodera's ability to become what they are now, which is what they always intended to be. Supreme at instrument building, customer service, and business execution.

I was wondering what are the best amp/cabinets for fodera basses in peoples humble opinions?

I have been looking at Glockenklang, Thunderfunk, and Walter Woods recently, but would love to get some insight from other people. I play a lot of funk and jazz. Lots of slapping and tapping.

I was in Brooklyn last week and I asked Jason about my next build and wanted to see the top I picked 4-5 months prior.... He had the top out in 2 min and even pulled out the neck that was mostly constructed. This is for a bass that isn't scheduled for completion until this fall. Super organized business now.

I absolutely love the bass. It is just a work of art and the tone is amazing. Unplugged it resonates more than any other bass I have owned. I showed it to my dad last night. All he said was "holy $h!t". Kinda sums it up.:D Also, to not have any kind of buyers remorse after spending so much $$$ on a bass is amazing in itself. I still love the E5S but this is really a special instrument.

BTW, my 15 month old daughter is my iPhone screen saver. She is better looking than the bass by far.:p
